"It was the book I was studying before I died. But that never stopped me from loving it, even if it tends to be a bit of a bad luck charm," this last part I half wispered with one of my hands blocking the lower part of my face. Which made use both laugh. She then spent most of the time we had left t'ill the morning talking about poetry and and books that we loved up until she had to finally leave. Lucky for me though it wasn't soon before she had to come back to the library, returned her book, and told me all about how she had died.

Like something isn’t right. “Let’s go outside.” I tell him, to which he responds, “just because I keep beating you?” And I shake my head, trying to make my lie more discreet. “No, we could use some fresh air.” And he smiles that perfect smile, yet once again, I feel as though something’s wrong. “It’s raining,” he says to me, like this little fact can change my mind, “but, ok, I guess if you want to get _soaked.”_ And with that, he rises from his chair, I do the same. I think about what lies in my pocket, and dare to reach for it, but I remind myself, _not right now, it could give everything away._ We step through the huge, oak, library doors, and down the creaky stairs. We reach the front door, and he opens it for me, smiling that suspicious smile. I give it back, with chills running up and down my spine. We cross the grounds, as far away as we can go. I expect him to ask where we’re going, but he doesn’t seem to mind. We reach the trees, and he grabs my hand. His is ice cold, piercing against my sweaty palms. He begins to lead me far into the forest, finally coming to a halt in front of a ginormous spruce tree. He locks his eyes with mine, and says, “you know, I really do like you. It would be such a pity if all we did was play _chess.”_ I force my lips to smirk, as though playing along with whatever game this was that I was playing. That I started. “Yeah, it would.” I get onto my tip-toes, making sure to keep my eyes open, and feel his lips press against mine. I reach in my pocket for the thing I had been waiting to pull out: a silver dagger, given to me by my father _years ago._ I dig it into his skin, and whisper, “which is why we should end the game early.” And this time it’s my turn to smile, “checkmate.” But somethings wrong, the light hasn’t turned off in those cold, grey eyes. Chills run down my back, where his hand was. I look down, and see both hands at his sides, no blood or any sort of pain. But then I finally realize, it’s not chills running down my spine. It’s not even cold, in fact, it’s quite warm. “I play smart. All I had to wait for, was for you to give me the chance. The chance being your dagger. Your weapon. Your everything.” And as I slipped down onto the ground, I could see things growing more faint. My heart slowing. “No,” I whisper. He chuckles, “no? Well, listen here, this isn’t your game. It’s mine. All I had to do was play along until you were convinced you started this.” He laughs softly. Everything going black. “Checkmate.”

We got rid of the fifth, but that's nothing compared to what might go down if we face Marcus.
