It's just a dev kits thy meant to look like that and the final design would look way better something that's saleable and eye catching for there customers like they always have done with past consoles. I am also excited on how this two new console would look like.

I think it will be a sleeker, less bulky version of the dev kit with the V shape. The whole reason the back of the PS4 is slanted is so people can’t completely block the air flow. It would make sense to have this V shape to have a ton of airflow that can’t be blocked by an entertainment center.

Crap, I also hope the consoles are a little different looking next year. To be honest a square box to me is a little boring. I understand why they try to keep the design kind of neutral for the living room but why not make a statement with your hardware. I guess In the end however all that matters is we get great performance along with quiet operation from both consoles. It wouldn't hurt my feeling though if it also looks like a spaceship, lol.
