Not say "thank you". Whether he did say it afterwards or not, who knows. Unless you're the coach or you know him personally, the conclusion of him being ungrateful in this video has more legs to stand on than the opposite.

"It's fine/Got out alive/Didn't break it/Guess I won't do that next time" etc. People respond in different ways in adverse situations, and it's rarely the "correct" way. You know as much as I do here, but honestly, with the little context we have, I see this as a totally reasonable, normal interaction.
