This is why MJ is the GOAT. When he is faced with adversity he turns the heat UP not down. He thrives when he is challenged. Even Lebron buckled under the pressure in the 2011 finals. MJ never choked in his prime.

One thing I see with Jordan is he knew how good he was and made damn sure that anyone who tried to challenge that got shut down. He was aggressive and confidant to back that up. I was a kid when i last saw him play in a live game but I remember Jordan was the best and no one has reached that level. I'll admit Lebron and Kobe both are great players of their eras but Jordan was as great as he was during a time when there were many greats of the game still active.

I'm with you on this one and I'm seven minutes into the video. Now watching the plays, I see "Baby Jordan" getting more help on Defense and picks on Offense. So, I think at that time if you were a team playing against Jordan, your coach made you play strong help Defense against Jordan. Nice video as always. I think Jordan is also a G.O.A.T because he improved his game when it was weak and even when he had those double teams and teams anticipated him, he averaged points.

Harold Miner will always be Baby Jordan no matter what, this dude was the real deal and a perfect example that most need that player or coach to nurse and guide a young player, i think what MJ did on the court vs Miner was dope, but he could have helped this player, i think that's the only thing MJ will be missing in his legacy the ability to reach and help, could be the reason why he was a terrible gm and cant seem to build a team. might have fund gold with baby ball Lol. but has a terrible record that i don't think he can shake off

A few thoughts: 1. The tier on the list of those compared to MJ, the one with Hill and Penny, they all pretty much would have been great, especially the aforementioned, had injuries not stopped them. Penny and Hill were about to take over the league but never were the same after big injuries. 2. Was Ron Harper really supposed to be "the next MJ?" Was MJ really MJ yet? Harper was drafted just three years after, and while I know Jordan was great right out of the gates, he was hurt most of his soph season and he hadn't won squat yet. 3. I think the Jordan comparisons were coming more from media and fans. He was only drafted 10th overall, after all. He came into the league looking pretty good, actually. The problem with Miner is that he didn't really improve on anything and so he never really got any better. He never really developed a consistent perimeter shot either, if I recall. 4. The college numbers comparison of Miner to Jordan is kind of silly (just one of the many reasons why comparing a player's value by their numbers is absurd at times). Jordan was on a stacked UNC team.
Vor yearNernat Bentley
Although, Michael Jordan would “turn on” the aggression when driving to the hoop, it was Jordan’s ability to be graceful while playing that made him magnetic! Watching Michael dribbling the ball, while jogging towards the hoop...., then picking a spot on the court to leap into the air (appearing to be flying), was PURELY GRACEFUL!! That’s another attribute the other players mentioned in this video lacks. Jordan’s movements on the court was poetry-in-motion....., something the others tried to emulate but, failed to do. Either, you’re “naturally” Graceful or, you’re not.
Vor 2 yearsBrian Dunmore
Yep.....i 've seen this something to everyone all the daaaaam time! To add to it..in football Deion Sanders...is a Jordan type dude! No one hear s me!
Vor MonatNernat Bentley
@whiskey jack I agree, regarding the practicing time Michael Jordan put into his game. However, Michael is “naturally gifted” for the game of basketball from the beginning. It’s widely known that Michael had an extreme growth spurt during his later high school years, which helped to elevate (no pun intended) his natural abilities to flow (seemingly) effortlessly. Couple Michael’s drive to work at his craft, with his “natural” gifts kicking in…, you get the “GOAT” Jordan is known as today. Hard work alone will NOT put anyone at the level of Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Bruce Lee, etcetera. You need the ‘Natural Gift’……, supported by a fearless work ethic!

@𝕴𝖈𝖍𝖎 𝖋𝖆𝖙𝖊 LeBron was 16-17 years old when the hype started, maybe younger if my memory serves. Dude, no one in recent memory had that type of hype placed on them and lived up to it. I'm a Bulls fan for life and i know MJ's the GOAT. But the man lived up to unbelievable expectations for someone who was that young at the time. Just give the guy his due for that at least. I ain't a hater like that. Living up to hype has nothing to do with how he played or who he's better than. Two totally different discussions.

All these players may have had skills similar to MJ, but what made MJ in a league of his own was his heart! MJ had a heart and a "will-to-win" that will NEVER be matched! I remember trying to catch USC games as a kid growing up then trying everyone's moves. I loved Harold's game but it didn't translate well to the NBA. I think he could have had a better career if he was let loose on a young team with a coach that was willing to let it happen. Problem is he's a Rookie with a ISO game and he's a nice guy. He wasn't going to challenge the coach or the team for a bigger role. Then the injury happened and it was a wrap. MJ challenged all the "Baby Jordans" and only Kobe came close. To be on the list is still praise of some kind... but that's too much to live up to. Harold had bunnies though. His 2 foot hop was crazy, he had a trampoline in his shoes. He didn't really have a great 1 foot take off compared to Kobe or Carter.

The reason why Kobe and LeBron were so close to MJ is because of their commitment to improving. These 3 men lived the game, while all these other guys just played the game. When people from your team complain about how hard these men practice everyday and always pushed his teammates to push as much or harder than them, then you know you have somebody special on your team.
