Keenan doesn’t do impressions. He’s Keenan pretending to be someone and that’s part of the joke and is hilarious.

The only time that kinda falls flat is when he does Bill Cosby. Because he can do the voice and has been able to since he was one of the cast members on "All That".

@OberynTheRedViper While the rest of us have to switch between videos and listen to the openings and closings several times. Besides which, this is 15-20 mins of the Weekend Update, I'm not sure which "skit sections" you're even talking about. I think you're confused.

I love how Che reacts to audience groans: the louder the groan, the louder he laughs. And the giggles… love it.

@USEDTURTLESHELL Depends on the groan. If the audience is graoning because the jokes are weak, that gets tired fast.

fr weekend update is supposed to make the audience torn between laughs and boos bc that’s what norm macdonald did and that’s why he’s a legend

If you love audience groans, then you are gonna LOVE this season.

I really like this duo, but I find their reactions to the audience and each other a bit much sometimes. Do the joke, then move on.

So, when Herschel Walker spoke to his supporters after his defeat, I thought he was very gracious. Keenan Thompson does and incredible job here. Really funny. Walker should not be in a position of responsibility. But things have gotten so bad that I teared up when he didn't behave like a rabid, entitled monster when he lost. So, good job, everybody.

Seeing Bowen Yang fighting a man in a giant corn costume is one of the funniest things I ever saw in my life!

I disagree. The difference between WU and similar shows like Seth Meyers and The Daily Show is that WU prioritizes telling jokes while the others prioritize political commentary on the news.

A really excellent start for Weekend Update; almost everybody was "ON", spot on that is. It's particularly funny when Michael or Colin start laughing at each other's segment, (It's just GOT to sound better in front of a live audience with their REAL reactions than the practice run-throughs).

fun fact: the moon is always visible. it's just that the sun outshines the moon and therefore it's not as visible, but around noon-ish you should start to see the faint outline of the moon appear more so. also depending on which hemisphere you live in, you'll either see it all day or all the time at night.

Longfellow has that Bill Hader / Jim Carrey vibe. Handsome, irreverent. Hope he can maintain it without cracking up, like Freddie Prinz. Curious how his dad reacted to this. Yang consistently creative and out there.

I like this new kid Michael Longfellow....he's got a sort of Pete Davidson vibe to him without trying to imitate him. He had me laughing out loud... hopefully he'll fill in the void of hilarious commentary from a younger cast member that Pete left behind. Lol...he should continue Pete's "First Impressions"...he seems like he'd be a good fit for that.

@James Bingham he was not doing a lisp. He was spoofing bad ass kids on dr phil like bhad bhabie (hence the intro and the "cash me outside" reference). However, yes his characters sometimes have a lisp or moreso an effeminate flamboyancy that i guess is stereotypical but its also kinda an exaggerated version of his real personality from what i've seen online. A lot of ppl r just naturally vibrant and its not really anything wrong with it when you think about it.

As it is now, they post 2 clips from WU, then they post the music artist, then they post another clip from WU, then a skit, then more WU. It's a mess. Just publish it all together; at the very least, publish them in sequence
