Your best bet would be to have a HVAC company you trust map out your duct work and order the proper materials you will need. You still can install yourself. You really don't want to guess on these items including electrical and plumbing. My wife and I did build our own Log cabin. We finished the walls did the HVAC duct work Finished the floors Built a fire place and finished the interior walls and and and. That person did tell you right but as soon as you get the drywall up I would say you are almost 1/2 way done. Your best bet is to make a list and start checking off each thing you complete Then you will see and end. Our HVAC system included in floor heat three zones along with forced air. Man IS that ever nice. I'd say Total cost for my HVAC system with heat pump cost right around 18,000 and we did the work our self. This log cabin has a walkout lower level which makes it 3000 Sq ft. three bedroom three complete baths. Good luck.

The only time water is in that part of the pipe is when the water is on. If you turn the water off all the water drains below at the actual shut off switch

I may have missed it but where did you get power for the trickle charger to charge the rv batteries. If it takes that long, whouldn't the inverter kill them again as soon as you switched it on? Also are you installing solar panels on the roof of the house?

We personally would not choose to live in such cold climat and that is why we live on st Eustatius in the Carribean. But that is also because we are round 60 years old. We emigrated to st Eustatius 6 years ago in 2105 and we still haven't regret a single moment of ir. We do hope rhat everything goes as smoorhly as it as been. The hose froze they have heated hoses now. The hydrant is always empty up above the seat which is under ground. There's no need to cover it. That's why they are called frost free.

10.5 is when they shut of. If you put a 12 volt battery on the cables to the inverter it will come on.

Why not use just the Mitsubishi Split Systems. For your HVAC. You can install multiple ones thought the various parts of your home and that way you can regulate the temps for each area that you have one.

you may wish to put the thermal sensor at the end of the plug on the heat tape in direct contact with the pipe. This will ensure that when it gets warm the heat tape will turn off. Hard to balance too hot from broken pipes in the bitter cold of Utah.

I was born in Chicago and raised in Kentucky and back in KY they have PVC pipes and they freeze every winter and leaving the water running was a way they would combat it. You can try a piece of metal and a lime. Limes are alkaline and the water can act as a conductor. The alkaline may create a conducive charge in an emergency situation

My two brothers built or remodeled more houses than they could probably remember. Many times they would build and then move in if it didn’t sell right away. I’m not sure they ever had one completely finished until it was time to sell regardless of how long they lived there. It seems there’s always some trim or a feature they designed (most I would never have thought of or missed) that still had to be finished. There was always another project, another house to build etc.

Mr. Cool Mini Split is an option for your heating/cooling that I have researched and know someone that uses this in a tiny home. It is rated the below zero temps you get there. There are even videos for installing the system.

My husband is a plumber, one of the things he has worn me about was exposing piles to a cold breeze,(a long silly story why he warned me). Have you thought about putting water pump under an insulated cabin tent. You could even heat on really cold nights with a Buddy Heater.

Run your water a little at night. Mine used to freeze where it came into the camper. A shorter hydrant would help. A inverted trash can with insulation would keep you thawed. Glad you can still laugh.😁

What is up with the face masks?

Keeping water with a fair amount of pressure on it lowers the freezing point. In other words, the higher the pressure on water the colder it needs to be before it freezes. However, there is a risk, right before water freezes it expands so it can burst pipes or other storage containers. If you have a small pressure or expansion tank it can reduce pipes bursting but it won't always stop it so be careful with your water in really cold climates.

I've never tried this, but in my theory, if you use some led lights pointed at your solar panels at night, it by theory,,, might keep charging your battery's.. let me know if it works.. I myself am broke,, and don't want a credit card to put me in debt, witch I've never been because I don't want one,, but it "might" help you...

You have to set up most of your water pipes under ground to a deepness which will protect it from frost.

I think I would build the bedroom wall, to have cabinets. With a nice top, so plants could be set on top, with some decorative items. The cabinets don't have to real deep, it would be great for storing picture albums, cameras, etc., sheets, pillowcases, blankets. This cabinet could hold so many things.

Trent n Allie put heat tape around the tap..everywhere then surround it with fiber glass insulation. .don't miss tape anywhere from bottom to top..tape insulation. .make it a foot thick..around..leave water at a drip drip drip the toilet..use garbage bags..cause I have no solution if it plugs do not use long screw driver cause it will work..but u will get a free shower u will not like..info is me n my mom living in our trailers for years..n me fixing stuff..hair dryer unthaws pipes..but ur froze at end..thank god for my home
