I actually visited the Montaray Bay Aquarium in August of 2022 and I got to meet Rosa! She was just swimming around :D. For those who’ve never been, please consider going to the Montaray Bay Aquarium. It’s absolutely beautiful, and, sometimes, if you’re lucky, you can see some of the otters they released coming back for a friendly hello!

The thing I love about DougDoug is that he’s basically the conductor of a hivemind, and if he aims his chat in the vague direction of something funny they will funnel thousands of dollars into it

I love this! I interned and currently volunteer at Monterey bay aquarium in the sea otter rescue program and it’s so nice seeing the otters get a spotlight. I never worked with Rosa since she’s in retirement but I got an opportunity to work with all the other exhibit otter.
