I actually got a warning about it at quarter to eleven and reminded all colleagues I saw (started with my favourite pregnant colleague). But we still all got a small heart attack when it started.

We didn't and it wasn't even loud, we could only hear the other classrooms

i was asleep having a nightmare, i had a dream about purge irl at my house and suddenly i woke up to this noisy beep it scared the shit out of me

Ich glaube eher er hat das Video im vornherein schon geplant und die Aufnahmen zum Zeitpunkt der Warnung gemacht, um sie dann später nutzen zu können. :D

Mein handy mit 2 sim karten hat die meldungen doppelt erhalten, sogar mein geschäftshandy ohne sim karte das ich nur für die 2 faktor authentifizierung nutze hat aus der tasche gehäult. Schau mal in den einstellungen ob du solche alarme ausgemacht hast.

Schön zu sehen, dass es mal so langsam läuft aufm Smartphone. Sirene lief trotzdem nicht.

Bei mir nicht. Letztes Jahr hab ich zumindest die Nachricht bekommen, dass es ein Warnsignal geben wird. Dieses Mal hat mein Mann mich gefragt ob ichs mitbekommen habe und ich habe ihn nur gefragt: was mitbekommen? Das wunderbare deutsche Netz auf dem Land.

I'm glad we get these warning via smartphone now in Germany. they are already standard for natural disasters in many other countries.

I'm from Ukraine, we have air raid alerts daily and when a system like this was being tested during the war, it still scared the sh*t out of us. I was at work and everyone's phones started beeping like crazy, we thought it was nuclear weapon alert 😱

In my area in random warning sirens go off all the time without being announced. Unless I see people panicking in the streets I'll always assume it's just a test of some sort 😅

Usually speaking your local community does test the sirens, but for my Kreis we also have it going off when a huge fire is reported for example so everyone of the firemen (which also get alerted personally) hears the alarm. There are different codes. 1 time 2 times 3 times and also a 4th time are possible.

It actually noted in the alarm message - "probealarm"

I was at eork at that time and it was horrifying. We use scanner to check the batch numbers and expiration date of the resources we use. They all went off since they are basicly specialized smartphones. So I'm sitting there, forgot that it was scheduled today and suddenly like 5 different scanner went off with the alarm

I was at my Deutschkurs and it started and what was funny was that not all cellphones ringed at the same time so for about 15min we couldn't really make class. I knew it would happen because I read it on the news in der UBahn.

Twice in a row was warntag on the same day my math exam... Not fun having sirens blasting while trying to make numbers make sense but at least everyone learnt their lessons from last year and actually turned off their phones before we started

I mean, it depends on what the warning is about. Giant fire -> leave Big Storm and maybe bombs -> cellar Flood -> Dach Atomic Bombs -> Call your loved Ones Experimental biological/chemical weapons -> come back as a zombie

In NZ if you live in coastal towns, once or twice a year they practice Tsunami warning drills, so you get a text warning drill is due, and they like this, blaring air raid siren noise, blinking text, with Be Calm, just a warning, before test if sirens. They are deafening, especially if its middle of the night or early AM. Then the siren itself happens which is almost anti-climax

The proper thing to do was to take out your smartphone 5 minutes before the test alert. At 10:55 AM sharp I had it ready. Spend the day with 15 colleagues in a cramped room in a meeting. At 11 AM all the others went hectically searching for their phones, me 😊

yes, because this was a planned and previously announced test alarm (including the message "this is a test alarm. There is no danger.") - while the missile alarm in Hawaii was an unplanned, surprising alarm with "the real warning message" ( "Attention: this is *not* a test..." etc)

Hi from Odenwald Region. Before the mobile phone of our apprentice kid went off on time, the old church bell went full alarm like in the middle ages, then minutes after it finally stopped the local siren went off in two different variations. My phone stayed silent, but I'd never miss an alarm in our area here. 😂🔔

In Austria it's still the sirens. We don't even have a warn app. On the yearly test day on 2. 10. the sirens play all the different warning tunes, but we have a short siren test every Saturday at noon so everybody is pretty used to it. They gave out a special information for Ukranian refugees though, to let them know it is a harmless regular occurrence.

Here's a tip, it only happens on German bought devices. I live in Germany, I have a German Sim and a German wireless provider, but I bought my phone in America. The warning went off while I was sitting next to a colleague and her phone and the work truck we were in both started blaring, my phone remain silent.
