The Voynich Manuscript is a mysterious medieval manuscript written in the early 15th century. To date, scientists, historians, mathematicians and linguists have struggled to decipher the manuscript. However, the mystery has finally been put to rest. Ata Team Alberta (ATA) has deciphered and translated over 30% the manuscript. Currently, a formal paper of the philological study was submitted to an academic journal in John Hopkins University.

Let me try to explain the challenge of translating 600 years old phonetic Turkic of an unknown dialect to an English speaker. Consider this famous line by Shakespeare that is about 430 years old: Hamlet: "Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners?" This famous line may not mean much to a modern English speaker but Hamlet is essentially telling Ophelia that it would be better for her to live in chastity, protected from other people, instead of becoming a breeder of sinners. Obviously, this translation and explanation required a contextual interpretation by an expert. Now imagine English was a phonetic language – in other words, one would spell words as he/she hears them. Imagine how an Irishman or a Scotsman would pronounce and therefore phonetically spell the same sentence "Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners?" quite differently than, for example, the Queen of England. And now imagine the author was indeed a Scotsman but one has to have some knowledge of how Scottish accent was like 430 years ago. If English was a phonetic language, an English speaker would pronounce this sentence the following way, according to the Cambridge Dictionary. Hamlet: "Get di tu eɪ nʌnəri waɪ wʊdənt daʊ bi eɪ bridər əv sɪnər”. Obviously, the spelling would be somewhat different if pronounced by a Scottish accent. Make your guess how different this sentence would sound if it was a Scottish accent 430 years ago. Now let’s replace these characters with random symbols without further complicating it with the ancient Scottish pronunciation. Hamlet: "Get di tu eɪ nʌnəri waɪ wʊdənt daʊ bi eɪ bridər əv sɪnər” Now imagine all you have is the above sentence with these unknown symbols and no information about the origin of the language. Good luck working the problem backwards and forwards and using these characters try to translate this sentence into modern English. This is exactly the reason it is almost impossible to make sense of the Voynich text if the person does not have a deep knowledge of the particular language of the era it was written. In addition, this person should also have the patience and dedication to work through an unknown, likely made-up alphabet and the starting assumption has to be that the language is of a particular origin and then test this possibility. I believe Voynich manuscript can only be deciphered by trial and error by people who have the in-depth historical knowledge of their native language and patience to work through decoding the unknown characters. And sooner or later one of them will stumble upon the correct answer. It is therefore plausible how this man might actually be the one.

@5150Slider sir, I know this is a very late comment, however.... All languages are written TOWARD Jerusalem.... Wild, eh? All cultures WEST of Jerusalem WRITE and READ(of course) their language from left-to- right...... All cultures EAST of Jerusalem read and write from Right to Left...... Most curious, but true 🖐🏻😁

@Teresa Dudman English is democratic...we steal from everybody, and they from us. I just wish folks would use hyphenation when needed as opposed to Not...the lack changes the meaning significantly and it seems to be a trend. Ouch.

"Obviously, this translation and explanation required a contextual interpretation by an expert." LOL no it didn't. If you know what a nunnery is and you know what a sinner is then the sentence makes sense, at least with a little inference.

It also is coded in plain language. So first you translate it then you have to understand the true meaning. It is coded twice.

to me this is all the proof i need. when your supposed translation hits it exactly on the head and describes accurately and in depth what the illustrations are representing then i would say this is 100 percent proof that you in fact solved the mystery and deciphered this correctly its not even like theres still any mystery surrounding it, its not like its super vague and up for interpretation, the translation was extremly literal and seems to fit the illustrations exactly to a t..........the fact that it adressed the dying branch that was clearly illustrated was enough for me congrats on solving this puzzle that followed most to their graves

Omggg they did the same thing to create the bible. These ppl are liars. They will decipher things within their own understanding philosophy it and recreate it into a new version. Do u know it's outer lands of our 7 continents of advance ppl? and ancient intelligent WOMEN existed that nurtured the earth and humanity in advance science. I say this to REMIND ppl to always ask why is it the MEN CLAIMING WHAT MOTHERS KNEW ABOUT CREATION? But seem to never know anything about it except to guess and destroy earth to create foolishness?

Note this readers: Everything (or at least about 95%) they say that isn't real or not true is actually, for the most part, actually true and that for your whole life you have been fed and subjected to bullshit and falsehoods in more ways than one. Not just on TV and the news either. They purposely feed you bullshit and falsehoods so you don't find out the REAL truth and TRUE history about our world. The world around you that you see is like the greatest sham of all, illusions and misconceptions which purposely keep you in the dark about their true natures. Many believe that reality as a whole is like one big hologram or computer program that we have been forced to live in, to keep us naive about the truth around us. Agartha exists as does aliens and other beings from other worlds. UFOs, real - The effects of The Philadelphia Experiment, real (those poor people literally fused inside the deck of the boat) - The Haarp Weather Control System, real - (No coincidence that a hurricane hits east coast right around the time of elections for a president). In other words, they are playing all you people like a harp. But for the few who see past this, like I do, we are aware of things most are not.

Another theory I thought. COULD this book be from the Library of Agartha, the world underneath? If so, no doubt Agartha has many plants that no longer exist on the surface. Ancient, old plant species that people on the surface have not seen or mentioned before. I am a firm believer of hidden places, even Agartha, where the core of the Earth might actually be the sun of Agartha, the world underneath. Cause as we all know, we have yet to dig that far into the surface of the Earth.

Truth of the matter is, they discovered that it was a form of Turkish language. With that alone they can learn a great deal about the book and its contents. But I still believe, for the most part, it is either a doctor's medical herb book or a botanist's book of a botanist who took a great deal of time describing how to use a plant or herb. I can tell, from what they have translated, that it tells of a plant (possibly an extinct species of sunflower) that was used for its kernels, namely grain, used to make food while the rest is used as rope of some some kind. I am fancier of learning about plants, even extinct ones, that may or may not still exist.

It seems that SOME of the characters are symbols that are moon, planet, and zodiac symbols. Gemini, taurus and taurus moon are definite. Putting them together it seems that they are very obviously connected in this way in SOME of the manuscript.

Vor 9 Tage

Is that page they translated describing the uses of a sunflower or corn? Or perhaps a species of sunflower that no longer exists? Could be a species of sunflower that was eaten to extinction. Maybe the grain was so great that everyone ate it, leading to it's extinction? Hey, with a book like that, anything is possible.

Fantastic start. I feel like all things like this should be made available to the public as knowledge in not an ivory tower skill. I believe the manuscript is definitely related to what these folk discovered but I also think it is the missing manuscript of an even earlier language...sons are university students of the father?
