Unlike Football where there's Republic of Ireland and Northen Ireland teams. The Irish Rugby team is north & south combined. Some of the Northen players/ supports wouldn't appreciate the National anthem been played. This is why they play Ireland's call (Rugby anthem)

Irelands Call is NOT the National Anthem - Amhrán na bhFiann (The Soldiers Song) is the national anthem of the republic and God Save The King for the north. Irelands Call is a SPORTING ANTHEM used by Irish sports teams drawn from both parts of the island of Ireland. One day I hope the song becomes redundant but until then it does the job.

Some musical bars are missing in the middle of the song to do the transition with the higher theme at the end. So once again, this is not working. The way the anthem are singed in this wc is not working in order to create the right atmosphere. I mean, ok, they sing very well, but it seems to be in a school/church, not in a stadium during a rugby world cup match. I hope you will change this

the federations now choose the song they want to play at the anthem. So just ask IRU. ANd imo, its a change which isnt actually that bad compared to the traditional 6 nations anthem.
