No I don't think that he realized that it was crazy. This is a hysterical laugh, when you think about something that affected you very deep and you know you can't change it. In that moment you see something that hurted Vaas very deeply and he doesn't have a choice, about this. I think this is for him the "madness of life", this desperate feeling.

the scary thing about vass is how calm and collected he can be and sometimes he actually makes a valid point but then perfectly says something that triggers himself and goes into a rage. i feel like we have similar anger issues and have not related to a video game character like him in awhile

Usually the ones who are pure from the heart are the most broken and we can relate to them. However the ones who aren't pure from the heart will always be narcissistic, twist the truth, and make it so that they can gaslight you to the point you forget you're a human.

Kinda crazy that Vaas was right. At the beginning of the game Jason was a typical, rich californian adrenaline junkie but then towards the end of the game he becomes this unrecognizable monster with almost superhuman abilites until the very end of the game where he discovers Riley is still alive, and he becomes his old self again, gets a reason to finally leave the island. His family, his only family saved him. "Without family who are we?"

Seeing these scenes now that I'm older makes me appreciate the voice acting from Vaas's actor. Superb.

Bro no fr. I remember playing and LOVING Vass because I had never seen a bad guy like him. He was a BAD guy. But now I realize he's just fuckin broken, not to say he's a good guy but anyone who kills has that weigh down on them. This whole game was a damn masterpiece.

Micheal Mando nailed the job of depicting Vaas, what an exceptional voice acting.

Vaas was such an interesting antagonist because in spite of the story trying to paint him as crazy, he's one of the most coherent, intuitive and mentally aware characters in the game. Almost like being so intellectually above the rest of the people there drove him to insanity.

Only recently I got what a great villian Vaas was. This was to much for kidos brain
