For a natural male makeup look 1. Pluck your brows 2. If your hairline is a little thin, put some brown shadow back a bit from the hairline and then brush it out a little 3. For contouring, honestly just get a little brown eyeshadow. Start with the ears and cheeks, then you can go heavier back in the 'male' hairline spots, fade it into the forehead. Just take a loose contouring brush and swipe it down the sides of your nose if you like. Don't forget to contour just under your jaw, I use it a bit on the bottom my chin too. 4. Some light blush looks great on everyone, smile and apply to the apples of your cheeks, then blend back to your temple. For a little bit of a sunkissed look, blend it towards your nose and add a little more on the very center of your nose. 5. Just some skin-tone eyeshadow can help to cover up veins and blur the skin, but also a bit of a lighter shadow can be used right under the tear duct to get rid of dark circles and bring light to your eyes. You can use a slightly darker shadow to accentuate your crease. 6. A brown or even 'clear' mascara can really make a difference in your eyes 7. Loose setting powder is ALWAYS useful. It can help cover oily spots, and even blur pores and skin without giving any color. 8. Chapstick or even a clear, thin coat of lipgloss can bring fullness to your lips. I hope this helps someone, I did natural for a while when I was closeted.

Also if you need to apply concealer, use a medium coverage natural finish concealer and blend in a little bit with your finger. Applying creams/liquids with your fingers is almost always more natural.

You can also replace some of these with BB Cream. This is a seriously great product and if you’re closeted you can find BB Cream “for men” products that have butchy packaging. And if anyone asks, it has SPF and moisturizes so you can just say it’s a face cream for sun protection and moisturizer. The bit of color in BB Cream really corrects a lot of discoloration, making it look more like you had a great night’s sleep than looking like you put on a heavy foundation. A little oil on the eyelids and eyelashes is an old-fashioned (like European Renaissance era) way to brighten the eyes.
