Good on you for keeping a clean truck, so many truckers are absolute slobs. Its disturbing to see the on ramps in some places with trash being thrown everywhere

I can’t imagine how much his boss must love him. I can picture his boss telling the others “why don’t you clean your truck like him!”

I like a clean truck too. If it's your free time. You should be compensated in some way. Hours paid.....

@Democrxcy he is a company driver not an owner operator. I work in the same company CFI.

Dude he works for CFI his dispatcher and boss knows him by a number and probably never seen the inside of 99% of the trucks.

@Uh oh lol I like to go to work and get work done. Of course it benefits my boss why would I work for him if he didn’t make good money?? You sound like a weakling, if I wanted more then I would start my own company but I’m not ready yet.

If you want to run over the road in the states, pretty much any big trucking company will train you. If you go to school oh your own dime it will cost at least a few thousand for a good school plus you will have living expenses.

I've been driving for over 20 years and yes I have leg issues. I get cramps, numbness, tingling in my feet when I'm trying to sleep and sometimes I can't sleep because I feel like ants are crawling on my legs. That comes from years of 8-10 hrs of driving without stopping. I still have trouble stopping until I'm either loaded or empty, but I pull flatbed so I do get a lot of exercise.

I try to make sure I'm somewhere close to fishing. Clean half a day and then go fishing. Also...quick tip...if you run no more than 8:46 minutes a day...you can run recaps. I ran 3 months straight with no reset that way. Good video!!

Tip: if you have rubber floors: like I did in my Columbia , I would heat up water in my hot water heater and then pour boiling hot water on the floor, mix it with soap and then use a small brush. U clean one small 2x2 section at a time. Clean and move. Clean and move. Next thing you know your floor is spotless. Use a towel (not one u stole from pilot) 😆 and wipe up the floor.

Ive been doing it for 16 years now.. still like it but I gotta take a few months off now and then.. I own my truck so I can do that.. but Ive seen so much.. i could type for hrs about what Ive seen. Vor 6 MonateTHE PARKY ARMS

Vor 5 MonateNoir -Resurection
Technically you could keep driving, just depends on your route and how you manage your hrs. Would usually run 3-4 week's straight without needing a reset all legally. No I'm not running a double log or at anytime illegal. Just manage your hrs and routes and you have some extra time.
Vor 6 MonateGene Jeffries
Yeah, you can. But. Why would you want to? I need a little time off at least every 10 days. But then, I only take "home time" once a year, so different dynamic.

I was considering a full time job as a trucker, it’s pretty intemidating to see some of the older model trucks that have a ton of buttons, but this truck doesn’t look too far off from what you would find in a modern car

Man, I'm tripping bc I remember the hours changing but damn!... I can't believe it's only 70 hrs/week. That's crazy. I didn't think I remembered it dropping that low. That's crazy. Guess the only to make anything is to be owner-op or cattle hauler.

Be careful though 395.2 (2): “inspecting, servicing, or conditioning” a vehicle is on-duty time.
Vor 6 MonateVincent Maurice
I love your vids my guy and your voice its so calm like i want to hear you talk all day about your truck vids man, keep safe bro:)
Vor 5 MonateZicaZach89
Why not run 9-8 hours days so you can run recaps and always be working? Don't let these dispatchers control you. You are the captain of your ship
Vor 6 MonateHello Human
That’s what I would do and every 3-4 weeks I would have my dispatch send me to some place in the great US I wanted to spend time in, and I would take 3 days off and enjoy myself! Sometimes my hubby would meet up with me and we would drive in tandem! We actually made more money running solo instead of team so that’s what we did! It was a great experience for me until I caught a little case of cancer. I’ve beat it, but the chemo took its toll on me and maybe one day I’ll be a driver again… either way, I’ll stay In the industry! :)

Vor 6 MonateFrancis Valentine Mixes
70/week?! When I was a kid (not that long ago, since I'm only 22 now), my parents had a couple friends who were career drivers. They would work 3 weeks out of the month, and spend the last week at home. They'd also drive 12-16 hours each of the 7 days per week. I dont know if the laws have changed, or if they had more leeway due to their experience (both had been driving for 20+ years), but 10 hours per day doesn't sound like much.

I can't stand a nasty truck or dirty windows. My boss will literally fire a driver if he sees the inside of his truck really nasty. We drive older Peterbilt 379's but they're all like new and that's why.

Vor Monatchip block
One piece of advice I give out freely and often, keep your rig clean inside and out. I believe when an inspector sees a dirty truck, especially the inside, dirty and disorganized the instructor will be tougher on the driver. Its because a messy truck equals an I don't care attitude.
Vor 5 MonateMatthew Mahl
I’m a DOT inspector and this dude is 100% right, at least for me deciding on what level inspection you’re going through. I walk up on this truck and you’re out in 10 minutes with a level 3.
Vor 4 MonateAshley Perry

Vor 5 Monateflookie

Vor 5 MonateBradley Hightower
You don't have to take a 34 every week . You can run off recaps for up to 2 weeks before you cap out
Vor 6 MonateM Coleman
Those hours of service are gospel. Good news: little time or energy to spend the money.
Vor 6 MonateSC2JZ

Vor 6 MonateTj R
I am guessing the company loves you because you actually keep your rig clean
Vor 4 Monateowen baldwin
There are a few things wrong with this. 1st, you can legally work more than 70 hrs, you can’t drive more than 70 hrs. 2nd, a 34 hr reset isn’t mandatory, you can run on recap’s. 3rd, legally, cleaning your truck is supposed to be logged on duty not driving.

The other train of thought is limit your Line 3 and 4 too 8 hours 45 minutes a day, That's 500 plus miles a day, never reset your clock. That's 3500 miles a weeks. AND 15 hours and 15 minutes a day to eat, shower and do laundry, clean truck everyday or whenever you want. Start your clock a Midnight, your shouting down 9 or 10 in the A.M. I'll put the cleanliness of my truck up against anyone's.
Vor 6 MonateC B

Vor 6 MonateShane H
This guy should be training and enforcing trucker standards. I’m super impressed by his professionalism. Especially his driving when other truckers are being daring and careless and selfish.
Vor 4 MonateTriparadox C.
If I were a trucker, I would pay attention to the cleanliness of the interior. It's hard to not be bothered by the dust specks all over the dashboard when you're spending north of 10 hours every day driving. That being said, cleaning it for 2 hrs every week might still be a lot for me as I'm lazy in nature. I won't mind spending 3 hrs or 4 hrs cleaning if it were a one time thingy or once every two months. But I definitely won't stand every week.
Vor 4 MonatexXblk420mambaXx
