I personaly love the terrain mod because the thousands of random and useless blocks in others get quite annoying

Frankly, it would be really nice (pag even) if you could make a single video about "how to get started on Sky Vault" just to give an overview of the things that are different and how you would get started there. Because most of the rest of the game should be similar if not the same as normal world generation, a single video would probably suffice for that and the rest can be seen with this series here.

I've got to say, I wasn't a modded fan and I was sick of the Vault Hunters videos. Then I watched this one and now I'm trying to figure out how to make time to play this new mod! Nicely done Iskall and team🤯

Iskall: There is literally no staircase to go up to the second floor. Me: scrolls back just to se him walking down the stairs to get on lower grounds for a better view of the facehouse.

I can see iskall going to build his base on the sky island, he can make other little islands with bridges connecting them, making a cannon to fly out off, possibly utilising the Wind turbines so make it look like it’s flying but it can also be a power sauce as it’s high up the air.

I like the changes, just wish you kept the defensive/ offensive enchantments. After all, if someone doesn’t like it, they can just choose not to use it. Or don’t villager spam. Slower, but aorks

The only problem with that is its much harder on bedrock for things like this and if their was a thing like this on bedrock it wouldn't be that good

You don't need to have seen vault hunters, it's a single mod that anyone can install called easy villagers I believe

Its a mod called Easy villagers. It lets you pick up villagers, adds blocks to make interacting easier, and there's a button to change their trades if you haven't locked it in by trading with them once already. Its real useful and amazing, would 100% recommend

I honestly didn't think I would've watched the whole 57 minute video in 1 sitting, but I really enjoyed it and felt so emersed that I didn't even notice it was a full hour

I’ve been watching all your VODs and I still loved the storytelling of this episode. My family loves all your videos. 3 amusing things 1. Once you talked about going to get a jam sandwich in a video - strawberry jam is now called iskall jam in our household 2. As you occasionally wash your eye in Streams my 4 year old want to know if that’s why you have an eye patch. 3. When we say goodbye to each other we say ‘see you dudes in the next epi-sode’ that how same 4 year old daughter said goodbye to me at preschool this morning.

Awwww! Thank you and your lovely family! No I don’t have an eye patch but a defect eye ball that can’t generate tears, so when I laugh ‘cry’ it’s only salt and then it stings. That was my inspiration for the eye patch on my iskall character!

At first I thought some of the changes were odd, and wouldn't work well but colour me surprised. I think with how it was explained, along with the changes all working in tandem, this version has easily surpassed the 1.16 one, especially the fact that people can play it more casually now. Great work Iskall and team!

I really love all the changes that were made with this new version. Theres SOO many quality of life improvements that span all levels of experience, from never having played to seasoned players. I loved your last series, but I think I'm even more excited about this one.

Tech advice, for dramatically increased performance I recommend a CPU upgrade to one of the new intel ones(Minecraft loves single core performance). I also noticed a lot of aliasing and temporal instability(shimmering in leaf blocks), you can fix this by going to shaders; selecting internal shaders; on the right change your render resolution to 2.0x. This shouldn't affect your performance as you have a pretty powerful GPU and it is prob being underutilized due to a CPU bottleneck, meaning your framerate should stay the same while dramatically increasing image quality.

I really appreciate you adding the casual mode. I have multiple sclerosis and have memory problems along with cognitive problems. Sometimes I can’t always think three steps ahead and it gets me unalived and then I just get frustrated and can’t enjoy the game when I have to start all over. Just wanted to say thank you! From someone who was slightly frustrated in 1.16 VH.

So excited for this new version! Everything looks so polished and in my opinion more coherent with less of the modded blocks everywhere! The vaults feel amazing and terralith creates some incredible terrain! Very much looking forward to watching this season as well as playing!

Have you ever thought about adding a protection potion? That way you could balance the numbers better and make it more transparent than the protection enchantment. I feel like it could help with running early vaults and early boss fights.

I like how you took care of the regular trend of "Skip the common rooms, loot the good ones" by randomizing not only the generation of loot, but by partitioning it into different chests to make looting on the fly easier(because you can only loot the chests corresponding to the stuff you want, if you are that far into mid-game). It makes the game slightly more easy to adapt to.

Been a huge fan of this seris and still am, with this being said I'm excited about the new changes but I do have to say Im not a fan of the new vault system. I liike the themed room but I don't like that mobs dont spawn passiely anymore or that loot is clumped together in little spot, nethertheless I'm still going to continue to support this amazing seris im excited for whats to come.

I loaded up this seed after mining for 8+ hours and not finding any chromatic iron, I went to the exact spot you were when you mined your first vein of it and ITS NOT THERE. I'm starting to think it's broken and it doesn't exist 😭

Wish I could play this, but my pc can't take it. I even tried to load up a sky vault world and just entering the vault made my pc slow to a standstill

I would like to suggest a random chance for mobs/bosses to have either depth strides or frost walker.

congrats iskall, this modpack that you and your team developed completely ruined vailla for me. its crazy how much is changed in the new version and i can see just how much time and effort you put into it. i never liked playing modded minecraft but you took it to an entirely new level, it feels like robbery that i can play this for free. cant wait for launch!

Use your off hand for arrows if you’re out of space

Really love all the changes to the progression! The biggest gripe I had with the previous version was how much 'stuff' you had to do before beginning the proper progression in the modpack. The only thing I could recommend now would be a sort of tutorial vault? which you start the game inside of and have to escape. This could help introduce the player to a vault as a concept, health regen (or a lack of it, actually), fizzling mob spawners (and not fizzling ones), chest types and all of that. It could be not time limited and have basic loot (wooden tools and leather armor, lol) and weaker mobs, and it should probably be mostly scripted and optional at the start of the world creation (kinda like bonus chests are). The hardest thing would be deciding a means through which the introduction will take place, since I feel like you don't want a questbook or something similar to be a part of the Vault Hunters. The only thing that comes to mind for me is some kind of a Vault God Messenger.

There actually is a quest book! It has be to crafted with a raw chromatic iron at the moment but it may start in the inventory in future patches

Interested to see how this series goes! I really loved 1.16 despite its flaws, and I tend to dislike change, but I'm trying to give 1.18 a fair chance and am looking forward to everything! 😁

I also really like the temple thing you built for the vault portal, but the portal itself looks a bit barren on top of it. Maybe put some blocks around it to integrate it more into the structure of the build?

I didn't watch a single second of season one, but this is very interesting. Adding what is basically a tarkov/loot and escape dimension to the game and totally overhauling progression to make it centric to that is super interesting. Even if I have no clue what's going on!

Love mountain builds, and your range of builds, from your pirate cove which i cant wait to see expanded, to the altar in your single player. Always a trip to see what you will build. Thank you for what you do. Can't wait to play myself

Very impressive modpack, honestly. I just learned about it recently and I feel like it started a new era for Minecraft, or at least the modded part of it.

My first 1.18 world spawned me really close to one of the new castle villages thats ALSO parked right on top of a massive 1.18 cave and a large tunnel system that goes all the way down to bedrock with a completely exposed mine shaft structure. Its a great start!

I am so excited to start playing! I feel like I am checking Curse Forge every minute looking for the pack.

Just note if you cant put in the command "/gamerule vaultCasualMode true" it means you didn't set "Allow cheats: ON" (It's off by default) when you made your world. Took me awhile to figure this out =/. Hope this helps.

@Megz This is a HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGEEEEE help for people, and something I don't think most know about! I used to use(and sometimes still when I forget to initially change) this to turn off Fire tick before they added the Game Rules tab!

You can hit ESC and then open to LAN and allow cheats temporarily. Change what you need to change, save and close and enter back into the game (if you don’t close then you can’t pause the game) Just in case you hadn’t figured that out yet. :)
