This is one of the best music videos of all time. Most videos that came out of the 80s didn't make much sense and often had NOTHING to do with the song. This one is spot on.

You probably had no clue this would become the battle cry for freedom all over the world. Love it and it fits so well with the citizens being fed up. Also, my mom loved this song, she passed a few years ago and I really wanted to play this at her showing but was overruled (siblings). It gives me fond memories every time I hear it.

@NoSkribelz Buzzin Well there was the weird US MAGA conservatives that tried co-opting the song as support of "traditional values" (which Dee Snider had a great laugh about.) There was all the anti-lockdown/Anti-maskers who also tried to use it as their anthem (to which Dee told them to piss off). Then even more recently the Ukrainians are using it as a bit of an anthem in regards to the fight against Putin's invasion of Ukraine (to which Dee shared his full support and permission to use the song). It's just come back in Vogue and spreading again.

I'm staring at the TV by myself (my mom in the kitchen not 10' away) and at 3:06, I see Dee Snider, with that make-up and the aesthetic, scare the crap out of me!! (I think I even remember crying to my mom or something.. just freaked out about it!! lol) FF around 10 years later, one of last cassette tapes I ever bought was also one the first CD's I ever bought: *Big Hits & Nasty Cuts* (Thanks Columbia House ... or was it BMG.. ?!) Anyhow, 15 years ago (4th of July weekend), a colleague of mine at the time ( *Animal Sam, if ya see this, hope all's well, brother!* ) kinda got me back into Twisted Sister after talkin' rock & metal bands - while actually listening to TS! And FF up to today... #TwistedSister is still one of the coolest bands to listen to (of any genre!) Bummed I never got to see'em LIVE, but what an awesome catalog to ROCK to !!! -- Who knew the man who inadvertently frightened a little boy; Would also be the man the little boy grew up to admire as a singer & pretty sure an all around good dude (eh, Mr. Snider ?) *S T A Y H U N G R Y*

When I was a kid, I thought the dad was intense, but cartoonish. As an adult, he is a scary reality - and no wonder Dee Snyder rebelled so damn hard 😬 A parent like that would make a person lash out. I was like 5 or 6 when I heard this song (older brother) and have been pretty anti-authority my whole life - in my 40’s now.
