Nah, 1:03 not 100% accurate. Someone would notice that the animation should be on the lower note, but the animation seems pressed higher note.

The thing I loved most about that show is they never spoke, everything was done through expression and it still was funny, this was such a beautiful animation I’m glad it’s still getting it’s recognition all these years later.

It amazes me this was animated in the Late 40's-50's. Modern cartoons nowadays don't even make their Drums accurate but this just sent dedication to a whole another level.

Because back then cartoons weren't just for children but nowadays because it's made for children children don't care about the accuracy they just want to watch it so animators think they can get away with animating it wrong i might be wrong

Cartoons back then is more than just for children's enjoyment, they are our time's cgi thus creators can do whatever they want and their audience ranges from Youngs to adult.

I just came here from a video of a scene in the musical animated film Sing which completely destroyed the piano scene. The funniest part is it's a musical movie so they should be getting it right.

There’s a part where her ears almost fall off and she catches them and secures them with one hand not missing a beat during the performance. Insanely impressive.

I remember staying up late at night to see Tom and Jerry, and this particular episode was my all time favorite, not only for the comedy but for the song in general, and the fact that not only this won an Oscar, but they actually animated the play to be legit with the actual notes of a piano it's mindblowing (due to the time it came out) and makes it even more special

@Sheldon Hatch I just miss cartoons actually having a plot and not needing to depend on awful jokes to be relevant. Tom & Jerry is glorious for the same reason Mr Bean is. Minimum dialogue and a "Show. Don't tell." attitude to its comedy.

This piece is one of the most complex and complicated music scores ever written. She plays it beautifully and it is a great homage to a beloved cat and mouse 🐭 I so miss them even as an adult.

I'm sure I probably worded it wrong my mistake! In that episode of Tom and Jerry when Jerry goes to interrupt/harm Tom it causes him to fumble sometimes making him hit incorrect notes but still staying on key , she was hitting those correctly even tho it didn't sound right at all. So in turn hitting those incorrect notes perfectly synced with the video is astoundingly good and takes incredible talent

Absolutely phenomenal, but the most impressive part to me is that the few time she got off the animation, she improved until she could line it up again, which is REALLY HARD. Fantastic, just astounding

I'm not a big fan of Classic music, but my god this woman nailed the performance, brought tears to my eyes when she played the last notes, I was smiling the whole Time.

It was so beautiful, she played without sheet music, there was some acting involved and then there was syncronization to the video! I am overwhelmed how fascinating music and musicians are!

I remember seeing that episode on TV on a Saturday morning as a kid. I was so awestruck over the music, and laughing at the silly cartoon fighting. It was just amazing, and the animators did an incredible job with the piano syncing up.

There was so much problem came from Jerry, but Tom didn't give up, he still play , ,, that's called true artist, Tom was genius, My childhood friend,,, 🔥🔥👀
