Breakaway or sprint on stage 4 of this year's Volta a Catalunya? On paper, it's a rare opportunity in this year's race for the sprinters, but with an ascent of La Molina (14.8km at 4.5%) falling in the first 25km and rolling terrain throughout the day, the breakaway specialists will also be licking their lips. when and how did it get established among english language commentators to pronounce "poel" (as in Evenepoel, van der Poel) "pole"? Wouldn't it be so easy to just say "pool", much closer to how it's supposed to be said?
