This almost happened to me at a 3rd grade school trip once, I was looking down at my food and when I looked up a ball was inches from my face, as I flinched and closed my eyes, a guy sitting next to me acted fast and put his hand between my face and the ball, he saved my face, I can still remember that moment vividly. Absolutely terrifying.

This happened in 2019, she was 2. I cant imagine how he felt, unfortunately this is a risk u take going to these things. She had a skull fracture, brain bleeding and other issues, suffered from seizures but is on meds and is better

When you go to hockey games they always play a warning over the PA system warning people that the puck can still get them regardless of where it it’s shot. They have tall nets and glass but the puck is still fully capable of hitting someone.

For anyone who is wondering she suffered a skull fracture, along with subdural bleeding, brain contusions, and brain edema. As well as her eyes both being swollen shut, to this day she still has to wear an eyepatch to help heal her eye. And yes it was and 105 mph ball. Hopefully she feels better soon.

Fan safety at sports venues seems to take a backeat all too often, until someone gets hurt or killed. NHL hockey rinks used to have just glass just on the ends behind the goals. People in those sections, and even on the sides, kept getting seriously injured by hurtling pucks until the league enforced glass all the way around. Eventually the league required huge nets on the ends, too. The netting in baseball stadiums needs to be extended, too.

I was at a game where a toddler in the high stands got popped by a foul that went up over the netting it was a freak accident.. they ran her to the hospital and before the game wrapped up they gave people an update with parents permission

I was about 10 maybe when this almost happened to me. We were at joe robbi (hard rock)stadium at a Marlin’s game when the ball smacked the shit out of the empty chair next to me. I was busy eating ice cream when the ball scared the ice cream out of me. My mom was working at the stadium…. So many staff and fans ran to me to make sure I was ok but I was so scared I ran to my mom. As an adult this video made me realize just how blessed I am. I really really REALLY pray this baby is ok ♥️♥️♥️♥️
