Razer showed off their new Tomahawk Gaming Desktop with the Intel NUC 9 Extreme. The look is VERY different and extremely compact.
A special thanks to Phanteks, Razer, be quiet! and Thermaltake for sponsoring our trip to CES 2020.

I honestly would rather stick with the Corsair one for 200 dollars more because it has a better processor and better cooling for the GPU. Anyone else

I'd say that's worth about $1895... but when you add the Razor logo, the price, it then goes to $2495. Ouch! I would also like to see how that system throttles down after an hour of gaming.

So I'm currently looking to go from Console to PC really want the experience of building my own PC like some of my friends did However, since I have no idea what's what when it comes to hardware doing that seems a bit confusing and is pushing me towards just buying a pc rather than building one. This def would be my first choice if I were to buy one today (def not for 2500 tho lol) but a lot of the comments are saying something about how the notebook part of this PC is kind of a turn off?? can someone please elaborate in terms that someone Who knows nothing about specs and hardware would understand?

Lmao, you can create a mini itx at that size without the need for a pre build mobo/cpu combo. How the hell is that CPU gonna breath anyway? The Loque Ghost smashes this garbage out of the park.

Love the form factor, but comparing CPU power, I would rather pay the same price for the incoming AMD notebook CPU.

for a basic chassis/psu enclosure, i would hope a max of 150 or so usd, "compute card" with the standard i7 from a typical gaming laptop - maybe 600usd, gpu - whatever you want to put in there I know that Razer will be dumb and make it like 2 grand for the basics tho, that seems to be inevitable

You can have a smaller pc with similar specs and greater modularity for far less than $2500. Not worth it.

Vor Monat

Wow this is dumb on so many levels: - The NUC 9 has the same fan orientation as a GPU, meaning you can't really stack them back to back without covering the fan. - Small footprint 1: this seems to be bigger than a DAN A4 or a Velka 3, which both use off the shelf ITX boards and desktop CPUs - Small footprint 2: A notebook-cpu paired with a matching GPU won't need a SFX power supply, a 500W Flex ATX unit would do it and save space. - Small footprint 3: If you're going for a laptop CPU, why would you ever need a full length GPU ? A RTX 2070 Mini will match the length of the NUC 9 Basically the engineers tried to save space and power on the CPU and go fullsize for everything else.

$2500? That's a hard hell no. Only an idiot would spend that for a mobile cpu.

Vor Monat

I think 2500$ is over the budget because majority of computer setups are already at the 2000s or up range. For something that is compacted and limited to certain aspects. A price range from 1750$ to 2250$ should be the needed moviatation to go out and purchase one for themselves.

So it's a DAN case, but your stuck using crap notebook parts in a proprietary design instead of desktop parts. I don't see the appeal.

That cool mesh design on the top is absolutely the worst mesh for airflow they could have ever tried to create. It is more plastic than opening. What morons are engineering over at Razer? Who wouldnt pay $2500+ for -$1500 worth of components? Is that even a serious question?

it s a good thing small form factors comes powerful cause usualy theses mini pc are ugly and don t get sophisticated design. razer provides here a small product, absolutly gorgeous, and powerful enough to make it a reference for years. only deception asus made the same thing in a much more small size, using half size graphics and probably flex atx 500w power supply
