Sometimes watching these type of videos make me emotional. I think it’s because there’s just so much work and dedication and craft that goes into something as seemingly ordinary as a shoe. And we’re so used to things being mass produced that sometimes we forget that once upon a time, all the necessities we have in modern day, were handmade. There’s a lot of beauty in hand making things in a world where we rely on machines and robots to do everything for us.

Looks like I am booking a flight to S. Korea. I would gladly just go visit this man and have a pair of these amazing shoes then fly back. Wonderful craftsmanship. Never seen so much care and attention to detail in work before. They must be the comfiest pair of shoes too.

I’m 32 years old and This video brought so much memories to me as a Kid specially when i made my own shoes at the age of 14 years old ( my dad had a small shoes repair in Marrakech ) I hated being there as a kid even to be honest even tho i was pretty good at what i was doing 😎but I’m so glad now for the things I learned from that shop ! thinking of making a pair of shoes now

Old school shoemakers must have also been part genius. The amount of details they have to remember is shocking. The execution is legendary

Esse cara é um gênio,eu já trabalhei numa fábrica de sapato,e muito difícil e muitos detalhes que vc demora aprender eu por exemplo nunca aprende fazer sapato.

I'm blown away by the amount of steps/detail that goes into making a shoe. If I had this wonderful man make me a pair I would take care of them unlike any other pair of shoes I have ever had because I know how much work and dedication went into making them, amazing!

This was so fascinating! I’ve worked with fabrics constructing clothing pieces, but not shoes. Watching the handmade process, for me takes away from the intimidation to even try at all.. Great work! 👍🏾
