Strange quarks are unstable (extremely short half-life) so they are no risk to anyone. They exist in the core of neutron star only due to availability of extreme energy in the core of a neutron star. Once outside, they decay into down-quarks, which merge with up-quarks to form ordinary neutrons. If the neutrons don't collide and fuse with protons, they decay (15 min half life) into hydrogen atom (proton electron pair) and merge into the inter-stellar gas/dust made of the same material. Strange stars are wonderful only inside the core of stars. Once outside, all "strangeness" is gone in no time.

And on some of then discribe strangemater very similar to darkmater or antimater , so when it encounters other subtances , both , the encountered matter and strangemater disappear or turn to energy ( explode..)
