I went to a bookstore the other day, and there was a freaking guide/tour of BTS. HOLY GOD! I WISHED I BOUGHT IT!

Ok so I know I'm like two years late but I'd like to though my hat into the ring of Kpop. In opinion I don't really mind it, but I don't go out of my way for it. I'll just listen to a song here or there like Mariah or Giants. Also I don't really listen to BTS all that much but their music is super catchy so if you want suggest a song or two, BTS or not go right ahead I don't mind Also I stayed far away from Anime(? I think that was it) for a little while because of the fanbase and I didn't wanna be associated with it in anyway but then I was bored and watched an episode of it and was hooked. For me K Pop is too similar to normal pop. I enjoy J Pop way more, because it is more different from western music. Maybe it is also important to say, that I mostly listen to Rock and Punk. Enjoy the music you like.

Something that i ACTIVELY ignored for a long time was anime, a long time ago i was really into anime like evangelion, fruits basket and stuff like that but after a while i stopped watching it because the fandom slowly got toxicr and toxicr so i took a step back and never went back until i played dangan-ronpa on my psp. Cause before my aunt came back from japan i asked her if she could get me a game since she was getting souvenirs and stuff so she went to a shop looked around and found dangan-ronpa in her mind she thought it was a normal game soo she bought it and when she came back she gave it to me so obviously i started playing and i didnt even know it was already 12 i was so captivated by the game and its interesting plot that i didnt even notice that 4 hours gone by and in 2 days i already finished the whole game me hungry for more games like it found out their was a part so i ran to my mom and begged for money but she said i wont give you money until you prove yourself to me so i was like what so she told me that she would get it for me if i got straight a's so i did and when my mom got it for me...i yanked out of my moms hands and ran to my room to play it in 3 days i finished it so me once again hungry for more looked up on the internet games like dangan-ronpa and as the internet is showed anime instead of games well their were a few but most of it was just anime but one caught my eye and it was JoJo's bizarre adventure and as they say "the rest was history".

To answer the question....Kpop. I always tried to ignore it because i knew that if you're a white person who like anything to do with an asian country you're labeled a "koreaboo" or a "weeboo" And although it's true that some people are like that it's not everyone.....I had a lot of trouble with my friends when I started listening to kpop because they were all making fun of me and would never let me talk about something that I grew to be so passionate about. :( I eventually stopped talking about it around my friends because i didn't want to bother them with it. But as i got more and more into it I found myself avoiding conversations with the people that I LOVED being around.....a few of my friends don't mind when I talk about it but I ended up losing a decent amount of friends because they didn't care to hear about something that made me so happy every single day. Eventually i found someone who loved it just as much as me and now she's my best friend :)

I honestly don't understand anything about K-Pop. I hear that it's cringe from some and that it's awesome by others. I however don't care. The only thing I care about is whether or not the music is good and I honestly just haven't cared enough to listen to anything about K-Pop. From what you've shown I don't understand why people would despise it so much or even be so zealously loyal that they'd be so toxic. It's just music if you like you like it. If you don't...then why waste valuable time hating it? I don't like heavy metal is it's just noise half the time. Senseless stupid noise but I'm not going on rants why people should stop listening to it. If it's their thing then it's their thing, not like it's actually affecting my life by people listening to something I don't. Same for you assholes on the other side wasting so much time defending it. No one is arguing about how much better apples are to bananas because it's stupid. Dude I literally had the same experience a week ago! So here I am listening to the music that Ralph's puts on yknow everyday. I hear the song Dynamite and go oh hey this is catchy asf. I looked it up, "oh BTS sang this?? Holy fuck it's better than I thought ._." So I'm at the edge rn I don't have a bias yet, I'm afraid of falling in now ;^;

How BTS took over my life in a nutshell. "Im just gonna watch one mv" I said "Im just gonna learn their names" I said "Im just gonna listen to one or two songs" I said And look where we are now.

I respect other people's taste of music. But I have this friend and she kinda dislikes my taste in music. I dislike hers too. That's fine right? But whatever anyone listens to, she always makes a rude comment like, " Hey do you ACTUALLY like this?" "Ew what are you listening to?" and stuff. She does that to all my friends and it's kinda making us feel bad now. If our music taste doesn't match with hers, it's almost directly considered "bad taste" to her. It is getting on my nerves now.
