The Best of Piano: The most beautiful classical piano pieces for relax & study

Well this isn't exactly the video I had planned for today - there is something big behind the scenes that is being planned for Beethoven's 250th, but alas 2020 has been the year it has and things have been impossible to do. I've had a lot of people asking for a playlist of the videos without outros, so I put together a whole compilation of them for those who wish to listen to the more relaxing ones all in one sitting :D By the way, I'll be hanging out around Discord more these holidays, so if you want to come chat, join me here ♥ http://bit.ly/RousseauDiscord

I've listened to several "revered by the masses" performers play this and your feel and timing from the crazy minor 7ths and your perfect pause and transition into subtlety is in my opinion the best my mind has heard yet. The "masses" never had much of a mind's ear anyway.

Tears rolling down my face as I listen to these glorious masterpieces. Why? Some of them I learned from Mrs. Prager, who charged $1 for my half-hour lesson. My final recital in 8th grade was Fifth Nocturne. Took lessons in college in my thirties, and worked hard on Moonlight Sonata. Heard and fell in love with Rondo alla Turca, and tried to master it myself, in my fifties. Today I am 74, and hearing these beloved melodies reminds me how truly blessed I have been to have this music in my life. My baby grand piano sits quietly, beckoning me by its presence to warm its keys, my music stowed inside its bench. Although I never performed as beautifully as this pianist, the joy of classical music has been a constant my entire life. And the tears stream on.

My first love is classical, followed by baroque and the romantic period. I like some impressionistic pieces. I also like Frank Sinatra, Broadway, Rogers & Hammerstein. John Williams is awesome. I will also listen to rock/hard rock, 1980’s pop, Japanese rock bands like SID, German hard rock like Eisbrecher, Rammstein, and Ooomph!!! I enjoy listening to quite a few pieces used in anime (GooseHouse, SID, and others), and I enjoy KPOP… my youngest son just introduced me to Falling in Reverse… I like some Eminem, but I really dislike most rap in general. Some rap is tolerable. I’m a classically trained pianist and I also played flute/piccolo for the US Army Bands (1st Inf Div Band @ Ft Riley, KS; 399th Army Band @ Ft Leonard Wood, MO; and the I Corp Band @ Ft Lewis, WA). Both of my parents were classical musicians (Mom played piano and pipe organ and Dad sang bass for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra Chorus, played piano and the bass violin). I wish that I had the energy to practice 40 hours a day like LingLing, and “Your Lie In April” (Japanese anime series) brought me back to the piano after a 25 year break. I’m glad that people who enjoy hard rock, pop, rap, etc can appreciate and enjoy classical music. You guys are all awesome!!!

@Solaire I know that music is one of the if maybe the ONLY thing that brings us together, wich is kinda sad, but it's not only music, it's art in general. Storys, poems, paintings, songs, everything in the art world has a meaning and everyone has something of it, in my opinion one of the greatest inventions of humans. But it's just a sad fact for me that German music these days is just not my taste, classic music from Austrian and German composers in the other hand is just music on the piano, and it's something that I like and proud of that these kind of places are popular and from my Country.

the thing is you can be from anywhere and still enjoy music. Music is the ONE and ONLY thing that can truly bring us together and unite us no matter where your from where your heading or what language you speak you can still enjoy the same music as someone else no matter who you are and it is truly magnificent how uniting music is. Even if we don't get along we can put aside our differences and listen to music it calms the body and speaks to the soul in a way words can describe I have been touched by music and blessed to have the ability to hear these beautiful songs and to let my soul be touched in a way it never has. some people dont have that luxury.

Maybe my comment will be lost in the ocean of comments but Rousseau, remember that your performings may make someone fall in love, make someone cry or smile and these feelings are gifts from you to us . You made the world a more beautiful place to live just by your own. I wish you have a beautiful and amazing life just like your performings. Thank you❤

I love the descending lights, they look just like 🎼sheet music (if they were flipped 90° and upside down and divided by π, and also your brain is inside out.) And it still looks easier to play than actual sheet music. -A guitar player

Some music really capture sad or happy ("blij" in Dutch) or energetic feelings, but Clair de Lune, and I think there's no piece like it, captures the feeling of happiness itself (The word I mean is "geluk" in Dutch, and has a different meaning than "blij")

Moonlight Sonata is one of my grandmother's favorite compositions. Once, thanks to this video, I learned how to play it. She was glad and proud of me and almost every evening I played for her. After her death, the Moonlight Sonata changed its meaning for me and now I can't hold back my tears listening to this music. I am grateful to the author for this video.

It truly is a blessing to be able to play piano, listen to it, understand it, and study it. I will always love piano and I hope I never will give up, because I know i will regret it.

I usually never comment on anything, but I gotto say, Rousseau has to be one of the most 100% legitimate YouTube channels I've ever subscribed to. I listen to his music every day almost when studying, and it is usually some of the best recordings or arrangements of some of my favorite classical piano pieces. Thanks for the great music to study to ;) @Rousseau
