I was never bullied, but I really felt her pain and how it influenced her life. On the other hand she wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for that.

I really enjoy these acts. Brings me often to tears. But... There is always much more involved than just exercising pure talent. Choosing a piece or an act that is bound to please an audience is more than half of it. Some pieces of vocal music, for example, can be truly beautiful, but so esoteric or academic that they would never get a great audience reaction. They'd never go over on a venue such as X-Factor or America's Got Talent. I was part of a vocal quartet many years ago. Our best concert was a small spot as part of a larger choral show, involved singing a very difficult, but beautiful, madrigal. Esoteric. Academic. After our performance, there came polite, low-volume applause. We hardly deserved to perform an encore with that audience reaction. But... Our encore, which we had rehearsed only once (it was so easy) was "Lyda Rose" from the Music Man, arranged by the Buffalo Bills, a then-popular barbershop quartet. We blasted it out, complete with soaring, tone-sliding end notes. Brought the freaking house down. Standing O. We looked knowingly at each each other. We smiled. A famous Hollywood producer was in the audience. After the show, he came up onstage to congratulate us. He knew exactly what we'd accomplished. He knew the value of choosing a very popular encore. He knew just the trick we'd pulled, and approved wholeheartedly. Part of Show Biz. Good life lesson.

First time I ever saw her perform and I have no idea how she did in the contest, but, I hope things turned out well for her. Ashley Williams. Incredible and unforgettable. Quite a beautiful woman. Her internal beauty shone right through in that performance. Grace is so cool, sweet and genuine with a lovely voice and unique delivery. I have never heard her before either. I just love watching this, again. Now that I know that she won. The judges just sat, paralyzed, for a few seconds. They were stunned into immobility after hearing her haunting, pure, voice sing "Yesterday". Then they jumped to their feet, with a standing ovation. Lol. I love it. So, happy for this shy, gentle girl's success. So grateful to be able to be here, and listen to her sing. Thank you, Marlisa.

I would love to hear someone sing the song as well as Dolly. Whitney had an amazing voice and sang it beautifully, but Dolly sings it from the heart.

I really enjoy watching all of the talent from these young kids! It is unbelievable that most of them aren't out here entertaining all of us!

Every single performer was excellent and sounded great.

I was her age and Yesterday had just come out. My voice teacher was a young an just 24 and he was into the early R&R. He used this song to teach me breath control. I performed it live as a solo at the spring concert of my HS chorus. Just me. first time just me. I love this song because it is so true. My love past in '97. Need I say more. There is a funny story that goes with my voice teacher. U see he was single and every year my school principal a WW# Master Sgt had to go down to the draft board and plead with them not to draft him. At that time there was a real shortage of good music teachers and he was very good even that young. It was a very small school and to one such as he was something else. He could of gotten a lot more money at one of the big rich schools but he like small town life and living five miles from town. I was not the only one he taught how to sing one one one. there was five of us out of 253 kids he did this with. The principal's daughter being one of them. I was the only boy. He told me I was chosen because I was a bass who could sing tenner and with falsetto and some training another octave. The thing is I never got a lead role in the musicals we did b/c I am a little below average height at 5'6" and the girl that always got the lead was almost 5'11". So a kid who was a tenner got the lead and I secondary. But ppl came to see us perform for LIsa (the tall girl) and myself. The tall guy was good but not that good whereas lisa and I where very good. We both had dreams of making it big. Lisa never did try she went ot college and married. I went tinto army. After army I sang with a number of bands and in 1979 almost made it big but Lady Luck said no. Two sayd from sizing contract Lead guitar and piano player had falling out and that was the end of ReFried Chicken.

1 hour and 20 minutes in and I am a absolute mess, been crying since the very first performance but Jillian (the girl who got bullied) hit me so very deep in my heart and soul as someone who experienced the same thing I so know and feel her pain, I'm a complete wreck now 😭😭😭😭

Why these adds!!! Are you kidding me! Do you think about anything besides money!!! Stop interrupting these performances! Watch them, and you may understand why!

I feel ya I was bullied all the way through school. And I hate the saying sticks and bones will break my bones but words will never hurt me because words do hurt . And I feel like people don’t really truly understand how much their words can have an effect on someone for the rest of their lives.

Grace Davis,, I've read through perhaps 100 comments and unless I missed it saw no one mention her. IMHO she flat out blew all them away even though they were VERY GOOD, Grace is just n an entirely level than the rest. Firstly, she has confidence and she knows her voice is good, very good. Secondly she composed her own music for this audition. She should have earned a right to be in the finals. Whether or not she made them is irrelevant EXCEPT for the $M prize. I believe she'll be making many, many more millions than the prize for this competition. Once her talent is heard, she'll be snapped up in a heartbeat by a label. Hopefully she's experienced enough to get herself a reputable agency who can keep her protected from the mongering money hungry's who want only to take from her then toss her to the curb.
