It’s not official circuit, but nobody should forget that Wolfe predicted his opponent would use trick room to take down his trick room so he used trick room taking down his own trick room, and making it so his opponent would take set up a fresh trick room for him For everyone interested, it’s in his video for the random tournament at around the 54 minute mark. I recommend watching the full video for context though.

Vor 4 Monate@Patterrz +301
This is why I wish Pokemon was bigger as an eSports, it's not taken seriously by a lot of people but the highest level players are so skilled and fun to watch because they can find a way out of seemingly impossible situations
Vor 4 Monate@sikimonibaruah5169

Vor 4 Monate@_hunter_x_hunter_5809 +19
When a game has this big of RNG involved it can never be big and shouldn't be rightly so
Vor 4 Monate@nachomolaolivera7580 +1
Too much of those "noteworth" plays occur only in the player's head. There isn't something in-game to tell it's a good move except when they win. Doesn't help out how centralized the META can be, the sheer amount of time involved nor the fact that an enourmous part of your community simply doesn't care about competitive.
Vor 4 Monate@Watburnt +14
Heavy RNG and a wider community that's very hostile towards the competitive side hurt it plus it's not on pc and it takes a while time to make a team
Vor 4 Monate@liveoptimistic +174
Whoever edited this video was on some next level shit. THAT IRON HANDS TRANSITION @5:20 was sick as hell. Shoutout to you editor.

Vor 3 Monate@Jake-kr8sc +293
I think James’ burn tech was absolutely wild stuff to see. A 9000+ IQ play
Vor 4 Monate@ImVeryBrad +7
It was better than the #1
Vor 4 Monate@martyrking2288 +4
I don’t get why #1 is ahead of Baek’s, is it just that the stakes were higher? Tricking a choice item onto an Indeedee isn’t out of the box thinking.
Vor 4 Monate@maestroeragon +21
@@martyrking2288 i guess it's the combo of choice item + trapping that makes it particularly evil, since normally you force a switch but this just forces them to disable their own TR lol
Vor 4 Monate@Endershock1678 +21
@@martyrking2288 Because #1 didn't just give him a big lead, it won him the entire game from turn 1.
Vor 4 Monate@loupe500 +4
@@martyrking2288 number 1 was probably super planned. He lead with Goldenghoul and brought Gothitelle in the back basically check mating his opponent from the pokemon selection. Honestly, that Gothitelle might be there with mainly that purpose in the team (counter trick room and maybe perish song), making it a plan he had from team building. That's pretty impressive imo. Normaly tricking Indeedee only forces a switch, having a team that can auto win a match up without losing that bad to the other ones is insane. Baek's is probably more out of the box like you said, but it didn't win the game by itself and neither was that well planned, it was mostly improvisation.
Vor 4 Monate@TsuchiGamer06 +548
I remember the #2 play, with James and Luca it was just genius. It was like i had a brain blast moment that just had a huge meta shift

Vor 4 Monate@LittleCrowYT +23
@@myhairhasamindofitsowncould you imagine the chaos if we ever got a game with z moves, Megas, dyna/gigantamax, AND terastalization?! MARKUS #1 LET'S GOOOO! Very well deserved, I remember that Trick Gholdhengo play so well, it was pure genius and pretty much locked in the match turn one. It's also kinda crazy how many of these plays came out of NAIC, just goes to show how insane the competition and skill ceiling was for this final tournament before Worlds. The editing here was so clean too, those transitions were smoother than a polished Voltorb! Keep up the great work Wolfey and team

The SportsCenter that I never knew I needed. As a casual fan of competitive Pokemon who doesn’t have the necessary patience to be a spectator but who LIVES for these type of omega brain moments, I would be thrilled to see you make more of these for past generations and formats
Vor 4 Monate@Crest_of_Thunders +18
This was my first season competing (went to Charlotte and NAIC), and I had a ton of fun battling and spectating. Getting to see some of these plays live was a highlight of my year.
Vor 4 Monate@Pownchao
As someone who doesn't tune in live to these battles, I love seeing the highlights of these moments, so more of this would be the best!
Vor 4 Monate@giancarloabiera +22
I did a similar play to one of the plays featured; it was a 2v1 between my Iron Hands and Chi-Yu and my opponent's Glimmora, and I knew I had to avoid the Spiky Shield damage, so I intentionally Drain Punched my own teammate (to also get recovery), and I positioned correctly to win the match

i don't even play or watch competitive pokemon but wolfey always helps me understand whats going on which makes it really easy to follow these great plays

(You could even do like- "The Best Play of Every Pokemon Generation", I'd click on that lol. But whatever form it comes in, I'd LOVE to see more vidoes like this). I feel like #10 should've been way higher on the list, but I think in terms of the videos story it sets up/foreshadows the tricking a choice item right at the start with #10 and then comes back at the end with #1 too so thats awesome, the storyboarding/layout of the video is so good!! the plays dont have to be in any kind of order for the next one, you can just share them however they best fit together for the video :3
Vor 4 Monate@trustedsource6666

Great video idea, and you did a great job of providing context for each of these plays in a very short time. For future iterations of this video, you could consider adding snippets of the commentators' hype reactions as these plays were happening so that we get a better sense of just how big-brain these plays were.
Vor 4 Monate@NeverToBeSeenAgain
#2 should have been #1 easily. I was tricking specs onto setup pokemon back in gen 4, it is a standard play as far as I am concerned. Effective, but standard. #2 actually changes the meta, way more impressive. And sure, giving your own pokemon a status isn't exactly new either, but it was an in the moment decision, whereas trick specs is a pre-meditated play.
