Awww, I taught my Smonks to ring a bell and this was greatly helped by having taught her to "touch" different items put beside her, rather than my hand. All I had to do then was to be patient and get her to touch the right spot on the bell. I rewarded her for touching the bell anywhere at first, then once she had made it ring, I only rewarded for a ring. Your cats are beautiful and cats LOVE doing tricks.
