The DLS method's revised target was completely out of everyone's understanding. If the DLS calculations were giving a target of 252 runs in 42 overs for Sri Lanka, which was equal to what Pakistan had scored, then the umpires could have decided to add that one extra run to make the target 253 runs. Then it would have been a fair ODI match. Even that one less run proved to be the deciding factor of the match even though Sri Lanka had run three runs in the last ball, I believe, as the score was shown as 253/8 during the live telecast.

But I don't know why everywhere Sri Lanka's final score is updated as 252/8 and Asalanka's individual score is shown as 49*.

Actually First bat team has the ground advantage according to the match history of R.Premadasa ground. I don't think 2011 world cup had won by India just because of home conditions.
