I just find out about Stromae tonight and I'm captivated by his demeanor, a carefree aim at speaking truths, and not trying to focus on the materialistic world of just making music for profit. His music is exciting to the senses, making sense, yet some are sad due to the reality, but, it's the world of people with whom we reside. Some people are good, some are corrupt, and although flawed, we are still connected and Stromae points this out very well. It's so about Humanity,... connections.

I recently only discovered this animated video as well.

Did this song for a French music project, everyone was both blown away and amazed at the powerful message. Plus it's such a good bop.

If it wasn't for subtitles of his music videos I would have no idea that each of his songs is a masterpiece of social commentary. Stromae is incredible!

Un amour qui est devenu devenu virtuel comme la convivialité sociale et familiale. Et il dit de se méfier de cet soi-disant amour, car l'hypocrisie est bien plus présente quand liker un poste de quelqu'un et le suivre sur un réseau social est devenu une preuve d'amour et de réciprocité. les réseaux sociaux sont alors des endroits remplis d'hypocrisie et d'égocentrisme dont tout le monde est otage (c'est pour ça qu'il y a un oiseau qui le tient en otage dans le clip, vu qu'il ne pouvait pas s'en débarrasser). When i was at the 7th grade, my french teacher showed us this, on a rainy day. Back then, i was way too scared to watch the music video, so my eyes were focused in other things. However, my curiosity made me watch the last 30/40 seconds. The message hit me so strongly, that years later, when i caught myself letting go of the real world because of my virtual "life", i instantly remembered this song and what my teacher taught us that day. Now as a senior in high school, i am watching this video for the very first time, and i can't find words to describe how important and awesome this song is. Stromae is an amazing artist.
