The entire movie was an emotional rollercoaster. It's really nice to see Tobey, Andrew and Tom get along so well both in real life and in the cinematic universe.

Nobody talks about the greatness that was the Otto/Tobey scene on the statue. The father/son like aspect of their relationship is what made 2 the tragedy it was. Giving them closure, with Tobey talking about him just trying to be better. So much in that little scene.

It was really fun to see Willem Dafoe fully unleash the unhinged nature of Green Goblin in this movie. His villain persona felt somewhat limited in Raimi's iteration, but he he was no holds barred this time around.

Spiderman: NWH is definitely one of the best Marvel movies I've seen! The Daredevil cameo, the 3 Spiderman team up, Dr. Strange vs Spiderman, the old Spiderman villains, references to the old Spiderman / Marvel films and many more! Truly a must watch for it's spectacular awesomeness! What a time to be alive! :D

because his version of the character was the most accurate and most sympathetic. all other interpretations are very badly done mediocrities.

One detail I noticed is that on Tom's Spidey and Green Goblin's final fight, he was always webbing/disabling Goblin's feet; which was Tony Stark's tip on Peter when fighting Captain America (a very strong and experienced fighter) in Civil War.

I feel its kind of understated that Tobey stopping Tom with the glider shows small struggle, it’s as if Tom is young and can’t control his rage the way Tobeys learned, and it implies Tobey despite never losing control, had a higher strength than Tom.

That, but the theme is always "this is what we do", "this is what we are", in other words, trying to purposely kill somebody is so alien to what spiderman 'is', that he really didn't have the strength to do it.

He'd also been spiderman for much longer. He's way more experienced than Tom.

I liked that Dafoe's Goblin stopped Peter from saving MJ similar to how Dehaan's Goblin did in Amazing Spiderman 2. This move did a really good job of adding linear continuity between universes in a lot of different ways.

I love that Doc Ock went full hero in this film. Truly gave him the full redemption he never really got.

the good in him never went away it was just suppressed by the destroyed chip and mechanical arms. he was the easiest to "fix" although he resisted having it done to him.

I like knowing that they all got a second chance to actually do the good they originally intended with their work.

Just on that bit about Ned on #37 at 22:25 - The shield with all the different small 'swords' displayed on Ned's living room is actually called "Weapons of Moroland," which is actually a typical souvenir gift and is one of the telltale signs how "Filipino" a household is, so not really "ancient." But if we look at the origin of the Weapons of Moroland, each miniature model of displayed weapons are those historically used by warrior tribes from the indigenous peoples of Mindanao in the Philippines, the "Moro" people who resisted colonialism of the Spaniards. So displaying one over your living room wall can also mean resistance to colonialism. Each WoM is similar in design, but often differs in the material used, size of each sword and shield. Also, Ned's 'lola' says to Ned in Tagalog "isa kang salamangkero" matter-of-factly which literally means "yer a wizard, Ned." In Philippine mythology, a 'salamangkero' is a powerful magician / sorcerer /mage / wizard, who casts spells and has similar powers as Dr. Strange does. Some indigenous tribes today still believe in the otherwordly powers of a salamangkero. In modern popular culture, however, to call someone a 'salamangkero' means someone so skilled it's almost magic. Ned did mention his grandma said there was magic in his family, so maybe one of his ancestors is actually a salamangkero. :)

Andrew Garfields face when he saved MJ gets me everytime. It really turned me around to appreciate him more. And also the way he described his mindset after losing Gwen. It elevated his character.

You missed an Easter egg - actually almost everyone I know who's seen the movie missed this one. When McGuire and Garfield web each on first meeting, McGuire aims his webbing at Garfield's web shooters, because he instinctively realised Garfield's webbing is not organic and therefore Garfield's shooters can be disabled.

Another detail I find very interesting is every outfit May wears throughout the movie has red and/or blue in it. As a nod to peters classic red and blue suit and leads to the final suit being the original colors again

The "thank you" at the end felt like a final homage to Tobey and Andrew for laying the foundation of live action Spider-men. Perfect way to end *this* trilogy

Making sequels until the thing falls apart isn't a trilogy just because if the third movie happens to be the last. there is more to a trilogy than being three parts. Also, books and other formats can be trilogies too. Oedipus Rex was around a long time before movies. lord of the rings, Trilogy. Delta force, not trilogy. The fact that this is the third installment and it ends on a cliff hanger makes it objectively not a trilogy.

You missed a subtle detail when the spidermen were first working together and screwing up Andrew was webbed in the face by Toby and Andrew says “ew” as he rips it off to see which is a call back to the organic webbing grossing him out. Just thought I’d say that since I love the detail they put in and wanted to share it with others.

He's been through the ringer, came back from going dark, and has spent the longest, being the oldest, figuring himself out and coming to peace with everything he went through and everyone he lost or ended up killing. It's great how the people behind this story came up with the idea. They used the reason why people disliked the other Spidey series as a way to make them redeem themselves. It's like the so called "mistakes" from the other Spideys were meant to be just for this movie 🤯

During the fight between Goblin and Peter in Happy's apartment building, there's a brief moment between Peters punches where the Goblin loses his crazed smile and Norman regains control. It really shows how great of an actor Willem Dafoe is and its one of my favorite things about NWH.

I love multiple things about his movie like how Tom took inspiration form both Toby and Andrew not only for his suit but also for life. I also love how Andrew saved mj because that relieved some of the grief Andrew had from killing Gwen.

Also, on May's grave, there says "when you help someone, you help everyone", a reference to the 2018 spiderman game.

The Peter tingle is multi dimensional. (A story arch in comics) Which might help explain why Peter himself was able to control his Astro body to return to his physical body. As to why Strange couldn’t grab the object from his hands I think the STARK suit being “very intuitive” could help answer this.

I absolutely ADORED the interaction between Tobey, Andrew, and Tom. They legitimately behave like actual brothers. Tobey the older, more dopey, but supportive one who managed to make his life work out somehow. Andrew the middle, more eccentric, outgoing one working through some personal shit. And of course Tom the younger, more curious, and innocent one with so much untapped potential. I really want to see Tom reunite with Tobey and Andrew again. Perhaps in a Secret Wars movie?

The original secret war was in 1984, where it was just the heroes and the villians of the 616 universe are brought together to fight, that's where peter got the black suit. the 2015 secret wars was the one where all the different universes were colliding, and doom patched everything into one battle world, where he ruled. and all of the survivors are in it.

I just wanna say that this was definitely in the top 3 best movies of all time with me. I just watched it today, and my mind is absolutely blown. Incredible story work and writing.

I noticed when Norman Osbourne was talking to Aunt May at the help centre. He is talking about not knowing where he is and the fact he went looking for his home and his work building. Which he says wasn't there. I'm wondering if this is a clue that the Avengers building was not bought by Oscorp but more likely bought by the Fantastic 4. Surely Norman would notice if the massive Avengers tower had the Oscorp logo on it.

I just watched this today. And oh boy it was really good. I felt emotional, hyped, happy, goosebumps and speechless. It just had everything i wanted. This movie gets a 9.5/10 for me.

Watching the three Spideys not knwo how too coordinate as a team was hilarious. I love the bit where Tom accidentally clips Andrew's webline then he proceeds to web Tobey's face, which he then finds gross.

100% loved it, it was so real and emotional. Brutal, funny, surprising and story and message wise brilliant. Been a Spiderman fan since childhood, cant remember a time that I wasnt a Spiderman, LOTR, Harry Potter or Star Wars fan. Its childhood memories, superb movies and books and watching it with friends and family and etc etc all memores and feelings together. Endgame was awesome, all I ever wanted from an Avengers movie, and it was super exciting, but it was different in the sense that Marvel was building towards it for a decade and felt a bit like a checklist that has to be done, while this movie came out of nowhere, got all the actors together and hit a home run after home run. It was the most surprising Marvel movie since Infinity War, but on top of that it was an emotional one, the best story, the best message about choices and regrets and consequences. It will be remembered for years and will age like fine wine.

I don't agree about Endgame, but in any case, I was young during Star Wars original run and have to say that the movies have definitely had better writing since those days.

I will always see this movie because I'm hooked with the MCU but the thing that made me more hyped was Tobey as he was the Spiderman I grew up with. Not gonna lie, this was one the 3 best MCU movies I watched and not just because it has Tobey. This whole movie was a rollercoaster of emotions and nostalgia.

I feel like what really wouldve completed this movie is after everyone goes back to their own universes at some point in the end they cut to Andrews and Tobys universes to see what differences were made and how things played out.

When Tobey McGuire showed up, everyone in the theater clapped/cheered- I've never seen anything like that happen before in a theater.

This movie made me sad that Andrew Garfield didn’t get a good script for his movies, I LOVED him in this movie and wish I was able to see more of him in the MCU

Well, for all of you "young-uns", I was 38 when the first Tobey Spidey dropped in 2002. 😳😲 I'm now 57. Was/am collecting and reading comics, since I was 11. Needless to say, I'm glad to see nostalgia has "kicked in", for all or most of you. As one gets older, and mortality becomes clearer, it makes things like this movie, AND that nostalgia, even more special. Love you all. ❤

I’ll admit my favorite part of the movie is when Holland was like I don’t mean to brag but I was in the avengers 🤣🤣 and Toby was like really that’s amazing!!! What’s the avengers🤣🤣🤣🤣

Also, the fight scene between tom and doc ock is very similar to the fight scenes between toby and doc ock, if you pay attention to the camera angles, the hand to hand combat, while also being faced with the challenge of trying to save someone in mid fight, the way he maneuvers through the signs, he says "im coming" and gets grabbed by ock and completly smashed, 100 percent the best fight scene ive seen in all the mcu spiderman fights

I think the silhouette that we see in the purple tears is the Lizard And, when Tom is about kill Norman with the glider, he does it in the same way Venom tries to kill Tobey, with instead of Goblin jumping in the way, Tobey does, reversing the roles.

You can actually see the spidy sense when he is separated from his real body and his astral form while avoiding Dr. Strange

Andrew's Spidey getting that redemption save, and showing on his face how much he needed that. OMG I melted, was beautiful and perfect.

I just saw the movie and I really liked it, but the only thing I was personally hoping was a more iconic come back from the other 2 spidermans. Like it was awesome seeing them, but I was hoping they would pop up in an epic unexpected save. The ending was very heart warming I did feel it great overall flick!

I'd actually say that the reason Peter can still move in the Steven Strange scene is cause of the extraordinary reflexes and nervous system of insects.

The lego near the end of the movie is also related to electro's comment to Tom Holland's spiderman earlier in the film where he asked him if these were his legos (back at Happy's condo and Peter Parker attached the device to drain excess charges on Electro).

I loved how brutal Tom and Green Goblin’s fights were. The punches were so powerful and shows Tom fighting like we’ve never seen before. They were so cool.

I refuse to believe that the alien scene of the three spiderman and andrew saying i want to fight aliens too isn't a foreshadowing to andrew fighting tom hardy's venom

I believe that the memory wipe was done because at the time of writing and filming Holland's contract ended with this movie so they were setting it up for someone else to take over, but since then Sony/Marvel has said he can keep playing Spiderman as long as he wants to. Holland has said he would be open to doing more but he doesn't want to still be doing it when he is 30. He is currently 23 so who knows?

That means 7 more years of Holland Spiderman… so maybe 2 more movies??

This movie changed my perspective on Andrew Garfield and his Spiderman series. That scene, holy crap his acting is just incredible. I feel so guilty for not giving him the opportunity to be a Spiderman because of my cling to Macguire. Now I can easily appreciate all three of them. Marvel, you did an excellent job!

I think Wong being the Sorcerer Supreme is why Wanda is stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. It's a way to make people think Wanda is stronger than Dr. Strange, but be able to say "we never said that." Keeps the debates alive like which is stronger Thors hammer or Caps shield.

Never in my wildest dreams that i would've think that i could see 3 spiderman in one movie, and spiderman hanging out with villains in a condominium. THIS MOVIE WAS INSANE. if you told me this in like 5 years prior, would've said its bs.

I literally screamed when I saw Daredevil in this movie. This was the biggest surprise for me 🤩

Side note : When peter was in astral form, his physical form was taken over by the bride using the "WEB of life and destiny". The Bride is also the entity which alerts Peter of any imminent danger through arachno frequency also called spidey sense or peter tingle in MCU.

When doctor strange says that he was hanging over the grand canyon for 12 hours I think that is a reference to loki saying he has been falling for 13 minutes

I just saw this last night in theaters and me being such a big Hulk fan, it makes me wonder will the MCU set up multiversal meeting between Mark Ruffalo and the other actors that played Bruce Banner? Or will they not recognize the other actors that played him due to Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk referencing events that happened in the previous Hulk movies? (I’d personally love to see Edward Norton’s Bruce, seeing how he’s my favorite.)

In that MJ's falling scene, before Andrew jumps down he instinctly moves his hand to throw a web. But, just before shooting, he changes his mind and commits to the jump

He also makes sure to land with his feet so mj doesn't fall further

The ending was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen as I relate to it greatly. I'm someone that chose to leave my native city where my entire family is located in order to develop internally. I've lived in many countries and am once again getting ready to move to Berlin in a few days after visiting family for the holidays in Houston, Texas. I wish I could stay but I know that I can't so I have to accept my fate and move on always walking alone.

I only noticed this recently, but there are also those "we are happy to serve you" (35:55) cups in Daredevil (And maybe the other netflix marvel shows too idk i only watched daredevil) which could have been a good clue about Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock's now confirmed presence in Spideytom's MCU.

When the portals are opened and the Spidermans came through. I cried for 30 straight mins. Couldn't stop it. It just poured out. T_T Amazing moment.

The scene of Andrew Spiderman catching MJ and crying was definitely one of the best moments of the film. I felt closer to crying there than Aunt May’s death tbh.

@roxanne - I think I cried about the same amount. I know one thing, though: The next time I see it (which will probably be within the week), I'm sure it's going to be worse, lol. 😭🤧 The first time seeing it, trying to take in everything that's happening, the spontaneity causes it. After one has had a week or so to dwell on their feelings, and the moments, then watch videos like this and read the comments pointing out things one may have missed, I'm POSITIVE I'm going to be an even worse mess!! Lol 😭😭😭😭😭😭

One subtle yet cool detail I think we all missed was at the very beginning of the movie. Peter is wearing his upgraded suit as we pick up from the end of far from home. When he gets to his apartment in Queens and May walks in on him undressing with Mj helping him, he has his Stark suit webshooters on! This mean he uses the webshooters under his upgraded suit!

I thought there would never be a day that I would see this but they did it all the Spider-Man’s in one movie it’s amazing and to me it may rival the infinity series. I am truly hyped for the future of marvel

Also, Tobey showing the others that the webs came from his wrists references to Tom before in a GQ interview where he talks how weird Tobey's webs were. Jon Watts did a good job!

I just simply cannot believe how this movie made me feel like I was 8 years old again. Thank you to everyone who makes the MCU what it is and gives fans like me and so many others this feeling.

I know exactly how you feel. I got back from the theatre today and have just been thinking about it since. It’s really everything I hoped for. The MCU movies are like the kind of movies I wanted to see as a kid, how I imagined a film version of the comics would look. I’m really impressed with how they handle everything, and now this with the multiverse, alternate timelines, and realities. I never thought a superhero franchise would tackle the more complicated stuff the comics gets into. It’s so cool to see it. This movie really hit all the right notes. I think my favorite was seeing peters astral body, how powerfully linked he is to his body in that state, and also the wavy spidey sense lines coming off his head like heat wave distortions. So friggin’ cool!!!

Another Easter egg is when Peter’s at the graveyard. The jacket he wears has the same color pattern as Spider-Man’s animated series polo shirt :)

Electro knew because he was getting data when he was trapped in the system after ASM2 events..he mentioned it when he was captured.

My favorite moment in the film when both Peter Parker’s (Tom and Andrew) are amazed by Peter Parker’s (Tobey Maguire) natural webs

Charlie Cox was my biggest OMG moment in the movie; my mind started going nuts
