@Blending With Henry no worries at all. And yes I love em both. I love how Samsung implements android so smoothly and even better than Google from my experience with the pixel 6pro. And I love how solid apple devices are. But since I'm a PC user not Mac I don't go all in on any eco system which gives me freedom to experiment with them all. And my samsung display is def the best ove ever owned. I only own samsung and lg tvs as they are awesome espcially my oled and mini led.

@Kai Ichinose Oh I'm sorry I should've clarified myself. Based on a couple of friend's and online reviews I have read about gaming experiences between the S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 PM. Personally I don't play games on my iPhone 13 PM so I can't answer your question about 1080 or 1440. They are definitely both great phones for what they offer. I will say this as a person who has a Samsung Plasma TV, Samsung's screens are the best and I hope Apple continues to use them. From what I've read though the S22 Ultra's screen is a bit better which makes sense since it's Samsung's product.

Vor 18 Tage

@Blending With Henry I don't game on my phone much outside of clash Royale and some other light titles no problem. Also the samsung now has the option to release its full power now which at launch was throttled. But I've never had the reason to unlock its full power as it's played the titles I play with no problem. The iphones cpu is def rock solid though and stand by life is amazing on my iphone 13pm but you are correct when doing gaming or video the battery drains extremely fast. I feel it can get about as warm as my s22 ultra. I love them both though. Also are you running games in 1080 or 1440 on the s22 ultra? Those are big differences just like pc when the resolution is higher.

Vor 18 Tage
Blending With Henry
Blending With Henry

@Kai Ichinose " My iphone 13 pm seemed to have better stand by battery but when i gamed on it it sucked battery down like crazy and faster than my s22 ultra." The Samsung S22 Ultra downclocks the CPU and GPU when gaming to lower the chances of overheating as it already gets very hot in the first place but it also degrades CPU and GPU performance.. The iPhone stays much cooler while gaming and the CPU and GPU remain full performance. That's perhaps why the iPhone's battery may appear a bit shorter. For gaming the S22 Ultra is very inferior to the iPhone PM.

Appreciate the real life reviews. The best thing to happen to me phone-wise was getting into a position with access to several phones - I can compare them myself. In the old days I was locked into the carrier buy cycle and had to rely on reviewers. If I bought on a bad reviewer take, I was stuck with that mistake for a couple of years. Not a pblm for me now so much, but it built up a lot of resentment toward spit-take reviewers. I like your honest reviews from all the angles 👍

It's interesting to watch these reviews of people who decide to make the switch to Android from iPhone. From the very beginning I was a diehard Android guy. My first was the original droid with Verizon. After that the competition started to really grow. You could unlock the bootloader and get boot animations of an android eating an apple. But it also had many drawbacks. Which was why many of us rooted and had fun with different rooms. It's was rough in the beginning especially with froyo. But things really started looking better after Android nougat. Android was very good at making up ideas and majority of what we have now has much to do with xda developers. I believe after a considerable amount of time the manufacturers started to listen to what we wanted. Android was great at making up ideas, but apple is very good at taking that idea and making it work. I've used an iPhone and I can understand why people use them and will never switch, but it just doesn't work for me. It's not my taste. But even now many people still will argue between the two when in reality it's all just a preference.

@PSYCHO well to be fair they could be talking about different aspects. They love the freedom of android but Apple apps tend to be much more polished and optimized and “just work”, because the developers only have to make it work on 10 devices vs 300 for android So they love the freedom of android but iOS could still be above android os

Thank you for this honest opinion! I just switched from the 13 pro Max to the S22U. For my use, S22U is the best (work profile, content consumption and costumization). Battery life on iPhone is still better but not by a lot. Don't care about iMessage or blue bubble. Even on my iPhone, I used sms, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Telegram to communicate with my people all around the world. Only teenagers care about the blue bubble stuff. My wife and daughters use iPhons and we communicate with sms, WhatsApp, Discord just fine. I use an iPad for my tablet needs and Windows for work which integrates pretty well with my S22U. Don't care what other people think. It's a matter of personal preference

All the assumptions I had for android ended when I used my s22 ultra. Love the refresh rate and versatility. I personally think apple is falling far behind in design. iPhone is still amazing in terms of software/hardware integration which imo is still superior. I've been thinking for a while to finally switch to the iPhone after owning only Android phones, but after watching your video, I'm kind of reconsidering my options. The only reason I would prefer buying an iphone 13 pro is the fact that it's smaller but it still has all the pro max features. I don't like 6'6 screens or above and it's not fair that the Android side is not considering putting the best they have in a 6'0 inch phone. But I don't like that the iphones don't have fast charging, USB type C, 10x telephoto zoom, and that it still have that ugly notch or the pill and punch hole in the next generation... It's just not worth buying their phones for that amount of money. Thank you the valuable eye-opening info!

Brilliant video. As a person who has been on the Apple ecosystem, I love the customisation and versatility of Android. Apple simply stopped innovating with their hardware, aside from the M1 chip, and most of what drives its sales is cult of personality. No USB-C, no fast charging, no compatibile dual-booting without BootCamp, slow charging, and low camera resolutions. Quite unacceptable in 2022.

Vor 4 Monate

"and low camera resolutions." LMAO. I'll bet you didn't know the iPhone 13 PM shoots Camera RAW and the Apple ProRes recording did you? That's something the S22 Ultra can't do. It just does basic photo and video while the iPhone 13 PM is more for professional photographers and videographers. And don't drop your S22 Ultra in the water it won't go very deep without drowning. The iPhone 13 PM goes 3x deeper into the water so it's far more waterproof. But enjoy your S22 Ultra. It's for everyone else.

Both good/great phones, but as others have mentioned, I like the variety and options available on Android. I also feel that good competition it vital in consumer products. I do see more people just buying into the Apple ecosystem just because because. To me, that circumvents the power we have as consumers. I wish we had even more variety in brands and models

Vor 2 Monate

That’s my main gripe with Apple tbh. It’s “you get this phone/setup/option or nothing” you have to just do whatever they want. For example, they took the headphone jack out, and if you wanted an iPhone you just had to live with that. Whereas even now, some androids are taking the headphone jacks out, but you can still get an android with one if that’s what you want I just feel like Apple is more shamelessly money grabbing. Take out the jack so you have to buy their expensive wireless headphones. Stop including a charging brick so you have to buy one etc. In conclusion to my rant, I agree that competition is necessary, especially with how big Apple is and how brainwashed their consumers are. They get away with a lot, and if there was less competition they could get away with even more

Just too much that I like doing on a mobile that is either very much a headache on iPhone (emulation is big for me) or simply not possible. File management is another big one. I switched to Apple for the very first time with the 12. After 6 months I just couldn’t take anymore of Apple’s restrictions that they have with 3rd party developers. The simplest things I was able to do with Android I rather had to find a work around with Apple or I wasn’t able to do at all. I’m good. Keep Apple. I’m Android for life. And let’s not forget to mention that the margin of camera quality at this point is so minimal if any, and Samsung is now going to support their flag ships for a good amount of years now, the reasons to get an Apple are getting less and less.

Ever since the S7 I have been a huge fan of Samsung. That being said I still do like apple although they could definitely innovate more instead of playing it so safe. I swap back and forth between galaxy and iPhone every 2 years.

This video is spot on. I have so many Apple sheep friends who knock on my Samsung but would never be willing to know how much Android has progressed. Android, IMO, has a better UX and they try to progress every year. Apple on the other hand, makes minor changes, will overcharge for everything, and will keep their users all confined to one UX. (E.g., minimal ways of customizing your honepage). I get that if you have an Apple ecosystem, an iPhone will be really useful, but Samsung and other Androids def have superior traits compared to Apple as well. Like you said in your video, it's by preference and how it fits into YOUR workflow.

I appreciate that you kept it real throughout this entire video. I went to the iPhone believing the hype and only ended up frustrated. What drew the line was one morning I went to use my phone and it was stuck in recovery mode. I could never even get to the home screen. Then, I was told that I had to download iTunes to my laptop to restore my phone. I did that and it still did not work.

I went from being an android user back during the iPhone 1-5 days, and then jumped on iOS and stayed with Apple until the releases of the S22. I had the iPhone 12 Pro and just recently purchased the S22 Ultra and I couldn’t be happier. I feel like I missed so much being on iOS for so long. I gets so boring after a while. Samsung has gotten a lot better than they used to be and are in my opinion pretty much on par with iOS, and possibly ahead of Apple in some areas.

In reference to Apple's eco system being a simple experience... Samsung phones are obviously more complex but have a setting that can be activated to simplify the experience as well. I've never understood why Apple can't do the same thing.

Exactly. Like he said in the video, there is way more freedom on a Mac than an iPhone or iPad 🤔. If iOS offered the freedom, USB C, and file management that Android offers, I would have no problem making the switch. Until then, I will wait for Google to take their phones seriously and finally offer phones that can pull me away from both companies: Apple smoothness and integration mixed with Samsung Hardware and features..

Great points as I just switched back to android as my main device. Apple is solid don't get me wrong but no matter how much you upgrade, it's always incremental. Software and hardware are solid but boring to me. At this point I'm enjoying my customization with android. Nowadays android on my Samsung s22 will give me 4 years of updates. I'm gonna get just as much productivity on my s22 and I'm enjoying the split screen, which I use daily. Oh yeah, I love my back button! Great points, new subscriber!!!

So why not have that on your top phone apple. Apple could be even better than they are but they limit themselves by their own os. You sir deserve more subs and you just got me.

It’s so hard. I have both devices as well. I tend to find myself using the iPhone more. Although, I do enjoy watching videos on the S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultras screen is just amazing and draws you in. iMessage, FaceTime are hard things to overcome unless most of your friends and family use Android. So I would say, if most people you know use Android go with the S22 Ultra. if not go with the IPhone. Battery life is important also. S22 Ultra does a good job with battery but iPhone is king. Battery drain during gaming is more significant on the S22 Ultra. If gaming is important the IPhone has a higher frame rate and significantly better battery. Both are great devices that simply comes down to preference.

@B imessage is a much better way to share data. Videos and pictures aren't compressed when sending between Apple devices. FaceTime you can send a link but the quality of the video is in significantly lower resolution. I love the s22 ultra. Just saying if you have a lot of family or friends with iphones it's probably better suited to go with an Apple device. If not go with the Samsung.

Trent's Tech i would like to ask you a simple advice i have the 12 mini and iwatch 7 they are great but thinking of changing it to a 13 pro max or 22 ultra but what I'm tired of apple that i pay for icloud storage for apps this is monthly,i bought the mini because i wanted a small and powerful phone due to my work having the big phone on my pocket moving up and down wasn't comfortable as i had before 5.5" iphone and several androids of 6.0 to 6.7" size phones but at the end this world goes on big phones nowadays. Also i will have to say for iphone its a friendly user phone. What will you recommend if i switch ro 22ultra or go for 13 pro max. Also I've know people with Samsung and with iPhone and it has more personality on an iphone than an Samsung when you show people what each one has a lot of people here in Europe tells when you talk to them they tell WOW you have an IPHONE.I don't know why it impress more it has happened to me years back while with Samsung people don't get so much impressed.

Yesterday I bought the 13 Pro Max to upgrade from the OnePlus 7 Pro hoping that the camera + battery would be better. Yes, the battery is much better but I dont feel like I'm getting an upgrade at all in terms of camera due to the fact that you can use a GCam port on the OnePlus 7 Pro which takes slightly longer to take photos than the iPhone but they're consistently coming out better. The iPhone produces high contrast photos with shadows which are too dark, in addition to this photos are much noisier (yes, you could download lightroom, shoot photos in Raw and sort all of the issues out with some editing but you shouldn't have to at that price point, maybe it looks good compressed on instagram but the photos are objectively worse). I'm honestly disappointed that Apple is pricing these products so high and getting away with it because the majority of people who use iPhone wouldn't make the switch to Android because they don't know any different, are afraid they couldn't get used to it, or just think Apple must be the best based on their prices and the fact that so many people use them. I'm now going to sell the 13 Pro Max and feel ripped off by the fact that a phone which costs over 1k couldn't outshine a device from 2019 which cost half the price when it was new.

As someone who has used Android for the last decade, had 6 Samsungs in a row, previously refusing to even entertain iOS but recently switching to iPhone 13 Pro Max… it’s very interesting to see how many people are going the opposite direction! I don’t regret my switch at all. But my other stuff is Apple (has been for years) so I love the interaction between my devices, and the battery life on this thing is nuts. Both Android and iOS flagships are fantastic - ultimately that’s why we have that choice!

I always encourage people to try switching because you never know but way the pros/cons first if I was your salesman that’ll be the first thing I’ll do and probably say don’t switch because you’ll be annoyed. Also it’s way easier switching from iPhone to android then vice versa. But again it’s a great video because there’s tons of people with the same complaints and thoughts everyday, apple has to listen to their buyers 🤷‍♂️

I can appreciate all the great things about iPhone, the battery, the optimisation, the smoothness of the UI, the design language, top notch speakers. But for me personally, and the way I use my phone, Android just allows me that freedom to make the user experience personalised to me, delve in and tinker with things to work the way I like them, and play around with little niche features and gimmicks to fine tune. There are 100% things that Apple does better, it's just that none of them are so important to me that I would want to give up that level of customisation. Like not being able to customise my home screen icons, it's not an objectively big deal, but for me that would drive me insane 😵‍💫 Maybe if I used iOS long term I would get used to it, but for now I'll stick with the fun, if not flawed experience Android offers.

I will switch to next S24 Ultra from my iPhone 12 because: - Apple treat consumers as if they are idiots who buying everything because the logo - pathetic price of Mac Wheels, iCloth, Stand and even headphones too.. Sony has the same quality - in my country basic model of Airpods are so expensive but for a half price of it I get as good buds as AirPods Pro - 75t model - duplicated photos and video from iPhone to MacBook via airdrop. Two same pictures and when I delete one of them then I can’t open the pic. It’s like 2 pics are in 1. So sick - no native Netflix or gmail app on MacBook - open gmail and Netflix I have to do through the browser and I waste my time - it’s really funny and interesting but in some cases Apple doesn’t allow you to keep nudes on your iPhone (sextape or something) I had this experience. I couldn’t open only my sextape vids I recorded with my gf but after that I record normal vid and I could open. Wtf. So you are the slave and they know what you keep on your phone - privacy yes…- - “only” speakers, touchpad, keyboard, display are the best but OS omg.. not for me.. no iOS games maybe only one on MacBook - current prices of new MacBooks are… - inflation made prices higher (Poland) eg: MacBook Air M1 before inflation started 5299, after - 5799,- I saw info today on Apple Polish site and others - -400/500 Polish golds if you buy one of our devices.. so the same price like before inflation started.. heh - I cant move the icon in menu to the place I want. Everything is side by side - no good RAW Pro Mode in Pro Models - good photos in pro models with 3x optical zoom.. 3x seriously? - I’m sure they put 5x optical zoom to iPhone 14 Pro because they are lazy to give us the 10x - wallet more important than users - I regret I didn’t buy iPhone 12 mini and I bought iPhone 12. 12 mini is cheaper and has the same specs.. only battery is better in 12. I also think better to buy S22 than basic 12/13 models with no optical zoom and some other features.

My biggest regret the last two years was missing out on the Note 20 Ultra and S21 Ultra. I got the S22 Ultra direct from Samsung and it feels natural. Apple irked me when all the songs I purchased on iTunes are locked behind the Apple Music paywall. I hate face ID and more so the news that only people who get the higher end iPhone 14 phones won't have the notch. Meanwhile everyone else gets the same phone with maybe a bigger notch, a new chip and $100 more. Glad I saw this video. Left a like and didn't skip an ad.

Most iPhone users either never even used an android, or they started off on a cheap $150 Android before making the jump to iOS. Budget androids still make up the bulk of sales so it's easy to say a 13 Pro Max is better than a Galaxy A12 or J series. But better than a Note or S series? A debate can be made depending on your needs.

I do appreciate apple and the things they are good at, at the same time the things they do bad or don't do at all keeps me from buying their products. I have never owned a apple product mainly because I'm too cheap and the way my brain works when it comes to buying tech products, basically the more a popular company pushes me to buy their products the more I don't want to buy the products. This also applys to media consumtion and other things. This is one of the reasons I got a sony xperia 1 III from work when my boss was kind enough to let me choose phone. Anyway I really liked this video and that you can be hard on apple even though you own multiple of their products. Many people including myself will defend the tech they own because they spent their money on it and do not want to realize that it was a bad choice if they later find out that there were a better option available. In game launcher there is feature to block all notification during game. And also can block accidental touch like home button. 10 do you have notification design like when someone message you there will be firework or heart shape design and more. 11: also can you remaster picture (in Samsung you can remaster picture without downloading app remaster mean to make image more clear and less pixelated 12 can you delete background or someone in photo like photoshop? Thing about the battery is that the end goal will always be for phones to last for a whole day with moderate to heavy use. Removing the stress of seeing your battery below 60% early in the afternoon is defined ideal. Let’s not be used to how things are and just accept the fact that phones just cant last that long. Also about cars, you can run 90 and as long as you maintain good revs, you can actually achieve better mileage.

Love your honesty! Great video! My problem with Samsung is trust issues. They lied about the screens on S22&S22+ and the slow down of 10k apps but not testing apps. 3rdly, charging same price for their inferior CPU model vs snapdragon here in the EU. However, I love the pen and choices Android gives me. Blessings from Sweden!

The slow down doesn't apply to 10k apps it only applies to games to protect the phone, the 10k apps thing is just data collected for all around optimization.

I think the whole difference between both processors are overblown by youtube creators with their catchy title to get views. I leave in the UK and used Exynos for my different phones, and they have been fast. How will samsung one day move to their own chipset if they dont keep making and refining them. I upgraded from Note 10 to an iPhone 13 pro but the difference in speed of opening apps isnt that much. I have retained my note as my primary phone because the difference between IOS and One UI is just too much.

The s22 ultra has been smooth with little to no problems, except for one thing so far and that has been the battery life.

I also like how the value is held… each year I sell my phone and a pretty solid amount to buy the next one.

Got my second s22 ultra yesterday :) The first and original was faulty (super laggy, terrible battery and some dead pixels + a glitchy line on thd screen = faulty chipset..?) However, this second one is just amazing...

@HOBOsnake How do you get replacement if you get a broken smartphone?

had lag and extreme heating with intense battery drain that had no real cause. no apps were draining the battery, it was just draining. phantom drain. waiting on my replacement. this is one area Apple has Samsung beat. if this was an iPhone I could just go to the store and get things sorted. with Samsung it's a multiple week process with frustrations involved. but damn. couldn't live without an s pen or the beautiful screen

I have more fun on androids but I think iphones are so much more polished and a smoother experience. I haven't owned an android yet that doesn't have lag hiccups often.

I have the S22 Ultra, it is a great phone, but it is humongous! I loved the Note 9 form factor but the S22 ultra, as awesome as it is, is uncomfortable to carry around at work when I’m in the field which is a shame because that is when I would use its camera and S Pen the most. It is too tall, too wide, and too heavy. I also have the iPhone 13 Mini which is great for carrying around. I’m torn between the two. I’ve been a Note user from the beginning but the mini is so darn comfortable to use albeit lacking all the great features Samsung offers. But, most importantly, the health tracking on the Apple Watch is unmatched anywhere. The Galaxy Watch sucks in comparison though it looks better on my wrist, but it’s sensors and haptic feedback are junk in comparison. I think I have to stick with Apple just because of the watch. Great video though. You actually got me to pull the sim tray out of the Galaxy S22 Ultra to switch back, but I came to my senses and slipped it back in…Lol

Hey Ken, I also have the same dilemma. I also have the 13 mini with me and this thing is gorgeous and let's me use it with ease with the apple watch but I really want the customization and the ownership on having an android phone. I would keep s22 ultra and an iphone 13 mini (which prolly be my last iphone including my apple watch) just in case i need to talk to people with iMessage.

There’s a setting that came with iOS 14 that tells your phone to not put anything on the Home Screen because of the introduction of the App Library (which is just an app draw really). Ever since that I turned that option on, disabled my home screens and use a one page setup like I did on Android. Now if they let us place apps anywhere and fix the widgets then I can replicate my Android Home Screen exactly (at least from what I remember, none of my Android phones work anymore)

Alternative to the microsd storage is you can plug a thumb drive to the galaxy. Not the same of course but since you seem like you transfer files onto the pc alot could be convenient

@Ayejefé I know you can on the iPads (Air and Pro). Don't know about iphones (mainly because they have a lightning port and a thumb drive with a lightning port/USB-A is a very rare thing.
