@Peter Cau tong poo is a song composed by sakamoto, that part was not improvised. He did however improvise *over* tong poo (idk if thats what you meant).

I can still remember how Ryuichi seized my heart and totally changed my taste in music with his unparalleled talent in composition 8 years ago, when my sister recommended his music to me. As I was living in China in those years and information I could acquire about Ryuichi was limited, for me he used to be so far away and I was dying for everything about him. 8 years went by and I should say that he is still the only composer in my heart as none a music touched me so deep like his music did. ❤

So true, his music grips me at a deep level emotionally... whether it's piano work or film scores or even his older work. a unique vision

@Lisa Lisa, I guess you are right! After a couple days listening, I found his music is really my favorite. Besides Merry Christmas, Seven samurai, Self portrait, Energy flow...so many beautiful works he did, and I'm really touched by him. Well, I have to say Joe Hisaishi is still a great musician, but Sakamoto san is a genius! God bless me not being aware of this master too late. In Chinese, we call this kind of music “ 天籟”！
