I also liked it a lot, my brothers and I wanted to play the FarCry5-SAtory together, because it said 5-Players and Coop-Story. Then treality struck us, with the Coop-Story beiong limited to 2 Players only. Anmd that wan't the only let-down, swthinking about the Story-Outcome.

I really don't think that would be a very dangerous weapon, but as a type of collaborative weapon, it could be useful as a distraction. I actually once had a CD coming flying out of a broken player and it was fairly terrifying. So as a type of shuriken, I think it would be useful. Fun project!

I love the look of this project, it turned out great! I would really like to see what this could do with some sharpened metal disks the size of a CD, it would probably work with a thin saw blade or shuriken :)

Love the channel! I know the video said not to try this at home, but... I had the idea a few weeks ago to make an arm mounted ninja star launcher. I think some combination/adaptation of this build and Mark Rober's playing card machine gun could work very well. Do you have any suggestions?

It's pretty cool how the varying amount of data written on each disc affects its flight characteristics. Using only blank discs should improve accuracy quite a bit. Also, I bet shooting dvds would be more visually appealing, especially blu-ray discs.

Nice invention, but as CDs aren't actually brilliantly aerodynamic, wouldn't it be a good idea to put a beveled edge on them to make them fly straighter? Single would work or Double for better airflow? Curious if it had been discussed. Keep up the good work!

If you were to put 2 more flywheels on the other side spinning the opposite direction it should cause more spin and more speed. It also might make it fly straighter

This should’ve gotten like 40 million views cause the quality and content is amazing

you could have used 2 more motors for extra power and a widen the rubber part for more grip to fire the disk or stack the firing system for dual disk shooting using spring loaded magazine like one downward loading and one upward. there should be some space for the battery. i think we can also make the disk more aero dynamic. anyways gud job guys..

I would've made the fly wheels be a little thicker to grip more of the cd, like how the angle grinder was able to shoot the cds a little more stronger or like angle the fly wheels, but I really loved this vid.

Amazing application of cds. Better than using them by its purpose as before.

The motor bracket looks pretty thin and flexible I think you should make it stronger, to avoid it bending when shooting and loosing energy

This is just like a foam disk launcher I had as a kid you could put the disks in the top and it would push them into a spinning plastic fly wheel on a trigger pull. we also had one that looked like the millennium falcon

Random thought, but as a motorcycle rider, seeing what these guys can do with metal fabrication and wiring makes me wish they ran my local shop

By far the coolest non-lethal weapon ever made

pretty cool, might actually be deadly with cds cut out of light metal and sharpened. You could try that on next video and make some tests.

To increase the power of the projectiles, use metal discs instead of the plastic material of normal CDs

He would have to upgrade the motors to launch the extra weight of the metal discs, considering that’s where the ‘power’ comes from.

if you have installed two more motors in the opposite end rotating in the opposite direction, you could have gate spinning action that provides more speed and more floating time in the air.

I actually want to see the damage that could be caused with specifically designed metal discs around the size of CDs

It's great to see Bogdan move up in the Hacksmith world so much, going from a quiet Russian kid who occasionally helped out around the shop to the front man of his own projects and videos.

For some reason, as a scrappy homemade weapon, does seem like a semi good concept. Sure, the cd`s might not hurt upon impact, but with the shattering, thats alot of sharp shrapnel they send flying.

I think they did that on mythbusters. I think they placed two engines and two movable parts so the gravity helped them grab the CDs even better

You show try this with a Milwaukee 20 volt circular saw. You’ll have to modify the grip angle, hook up a small motorcycle and a few other things. Just food for thought it you wanna make it more powerful. Keep up the good work buddy. Your works impressive

Yeah if you want for it to be lethal you don't want for the ammunition to break in the barrel and not shooting it self and actually hitting the enemy

potential upgrade idea. make small steel/aluminum discs, you could then put an edge on the circumference. make one badass chakram firing weapon

I once had a 24x CD drive with a faulty break, so it ejected the CDs while they were still spinning. They flew across my entire room just like from this launcher.
