@TitanMode that's true but the mclaren was top tier too when he got to drive it. He had a race winning car since his rookie start. I'm not saying he only won bc of his car but he always was given a fighting chance. When he made the move to Mercedes he got the best engine and a car that was already developed by Schumacher. From this head start Mercedes also had time an resources to devolpe new techniques like Das (2018 already available) and suspension tricks. I am glad they got pushed last year to the point that they had to swap the engine every 2-3 races to keep up

I am glad than now everyone realized that George had been lucky this season. And in the first 15 laps he could not even make an overtake like Lewis, so it is proven Lewis was struggling because of the car and now George as well, but great strategy for Mercedes and George they got George ahead of Lewis because of the safety car.

Russell, wow. New track- Nice! 11-15 is an epic stretch, very demanding. It was really fun watching the progression in that end of Section 2 from FP1, FP2, FP3, Qualy and race. Porpoising with many cars seems getting under control nicely.

This race brought back feelings of watching pod racing for the first time in Phantom Menace.

Esteban did such a perfect race. Amazing stint on the hards, that he kept alive for such a long time !! He is really great at tire management (remember Turkey 2021, the whole race on one set of inters). Then, he obviously benefitted from the SC, but managed to jump the whole midfield thanks to his late pit stop. Finally, he managed to keep his nose clean in the battles he was involved in. Mighty performance for him.

Felt so bad for Zhou, the race was going so well for him before that technical issue. The way he was driving, he could have finished P10 or higher - he managed to jump from P17 to P12 before the car failed him. He's had some really unfortunate luck so far this season, but I'm excited to see his full potential over the next few races!

F1 has put so much money into building hype and attention for the sport and still the TV direction is horrible, at one point we had a few overtakes in the midfield and they show us Sainz going in pits, not just the pitstop, but the whole drive into the pitlane as well. So many interesting moments missed after the SC in the final few laps

I came here to say the same thing. They focused on Verstappen, Leclerc, Sainz, and Perez for a few minutes, who were seconds apart and there were no overtakes going to happen soon, yet I kept seeing a bunch of places being swapped in the midfield on the leaderboard. I was basically yelling at the screen. We missed so much action to focus on the leaders who weren't doing anything.

@R R Alonso got two penalties and a Black and White flag. One penalty for crashing into Gasly, B&W flag for cutting turn 15 in lap 54 and penalty for cutting the same corner in lap 56 or 57. He's honestly the dirtiest driver in decades, can't believe that people completely ignore that.

Max is on another level right now, that move on Sainz was stunning, and was much needed, I don’t think he gets the win if he was behind Sainz for the first stint of the race.

Insane Race it was 🔥 Redbull have got some serious straight line speed advantage which is helping them to catch the Ferrari's at the moment while they are having high and low speed corners speed advantage to defend the Redbull to a limit.. So, the most exciting part of this race was when after SC restart, Leclerc was all over Max's tail and they were battling for the race win with few laps to go. Somehow, this was not interesting enough for the race highlights just because no overtaking happened in the end

@Tuche Sampho Nope, I’m not claiming the RB is a much better car than the Ferraris. As we’ve seen both have their perks but RBs upgrades have polished their already brilliant car which is why I believe any top tier driver in that car would’ve won the race. Again, I’m not taking anything away from max who is one of the best on the grid but switch him and leclerc and I believe the RB on that track would always come out on top. Perez on the other hand isn’t one of the best on the grid, he just doesn’t have the pace to truly compete.

I think Russell has been consistent lately. Even despite qualifying P12 and later falling further back he still managed to finish P5. He's the only one on the grid that has finished the races in the top 5 places so far. He got his Williams several times into Q3 the last couple seasons for a reason. Edit: Just to add, yes Russell has been lucky lately but it's not all luck. We have to admit Saudi Arabia was nearly all skill. Give his qualifying there a watch sometime.

Donno how much more the cry baby Hamilton will get support. Also the British hype even by the commentators is getting too monotonous. Even in 8th place if Hamilton overtakes Alonso that becomes a big thing for the commentators whereas other teams and drivers have moved on.

@Elon Wong as far as i know he's still a Red Bull driver on loan, Red Bull even helped him get the seat at Williams, so he can make experience. I think if Checo goes (but i hope he stays, he's just the perfect teammate for Max) Alex would be their first choice, as he's on pace with Gasly and Tsunoda and he's more "helpful". Last year he had an important role in RB, working overnight on the sim to test the setups and helping Checo learning the car systems and behaviour

I am a huge Ferrari fan myself, but I'll say that Red Bull has done great and I hope to see some brilliant racing between them in more grand prixs!

I'm both a Red Bull and a Ferrari fan (Well, last year I was only a RB fan), and it is fun to see Max and Leclerc battling each other

yeah, as a max/rb fan, I got bored halfway through the race and got hyped during the safety car restart, we are here for the racing, not simping

Big fan of Ferrari too, but I have to say that Ferrari need to improve on pit stop times and strategy. They need bold decisions on changing the tyres often and on first opportunity. Why didn't they ask Leclerc to pit under VSC and change to soft tyres is still beyond me. He had nothing to lose, he couldn't catch Verstappen before the VSC anyway. And we could all see the SC coming, with all the debris on the track. I was actually pulling my hair when I realised that they left him out.

this is top shelf racing - he is mixing it up with the top teams - he has got Alfa Romeo up there, by the way, Mclaren no where near the top teams yesterday.
