The DMs themselves were weird in that he swore on the life of someone that already passed away (which means it's meaningless, as the person is gone already), then the last message about "big mistake" which is up for interpretation of intention as mentioned in video. As others mentioned, it's not defamation regardless.

Watched jidions apology, he seems like a genuine guy who's going to learn from his mistakes. Only sad thing is that it takes another man to explain why what he was doing was sexist, but when women say it they are overreacting, sad.

To be fair to Jid and what I see no one talk about is that he reached out to an opposing side to figure out what made them so angry at him. He wanted to learn. And so for that I think it took integrity and since he actually listened and learned it proved he is really a good guy. So all these Poki Stans calling him "Dirty" or a shitty person are really misguided.

Also no other woman offered to speak they just all called him misogynistic and didn't want to have a conversation with him about it. Poki didn't offer a conversation so he didn't understand how he was even being misogynistic. Conversation is alot more effective then just calling people names and defaming them. I really wanna see the two talk it out honestly. Which I know Jid would be down for...idk about Poki. You haven't watch Jid but he has a streak of turning enemies into friends. He better understands those he wronged or those that wronged him so that they could move pass their differences. I really like this kind of content from you, specifically, while you talk about the stuff that Drama Channels usually would, you do it in a more... mature (?) manner, as in you're not actively trying to fuel the drama etc. To be honest it just feels like good and honest journalism, instead of forcefully looking for clickbait and drama like most of the journalism seems to be doing nowadays.

Poki doesn't even need a good lawyer, Tyler's case is so weak she could represent herself in court and come out on top. Defamation is such a high bar to clear as far as legal standards are concerned, this would probably get shut down in an anti-slapp state like CA, and the judge might even sanction any attorney who brought the case for Tyler.

If a lawyer goes against the rules of the bar in any number of ways, one such way would be like bringing a bad faith claim to the court, they can get sanctioned by the court and reprimanded by the state bar (legal malpractice insurance doesn't like that) fined, or even have their bar license suspended depending on the severity. For a bad faith claim its usually a fine or something like that.

Ludwig this is genuinely entertaining content. Having someone who’s been there done that on social media give their opinions that aren’t just off the cuff makes the news way more consumable. Obviously you probably don’t wanna be a drama channel, but maybe even giving your thoughts on internet topics once in a while wouldn’t be so bad in my opinion.

In a defamation lawsuit you need to prove that the defendant (the one who defamed) lied about the character of the plaintiff (defamed) and everything that pokimane showed or alleged she backed up with video evidence, so any court of law would side with her in that anybody can deduce the same facts she did from the evidence that was brought, she was not spewing lies or harmng his character in any way significant (he did that all for himself)

Woah. I'm an attorney and you nailed it. Intent is essential in defamation lawsuits for public figures, and most of those lawsuits die on the courthouse steps before even getting in the door. I 100% laughed out loud when I read that threat. Legal threats from non-lawyers are the most cringiest shit ever lol

The issue is when non-lawyers receive the threats and - not knowing the law - get scared into retracting their non-defamatory statements or into silence. Even defending a stupid lawsuit can cost money - which is enough to scare most people.

I wanna talk about how Ludwig took the time to talk to Jideon privately and explain to him why some of the things he was saying are sexist because it's so important. Women have been asking guys to do this with their friends (call shit out, crack down on weird "jokes", etc.) for so long so we can have an easier time literally just existing, so knowing Lud took time to do it with a complete stranger means a lot. I hope Jideon took it to heart and also teaches his audience to behave better. You're a good guy, Ludwig ❤️

Even if Ninja himself wasn't sending it as a threat, it sure as hell looks like one now. Ninja's manager wife dropped the ball soooo hard with the pr.
