Which next-gen console do you prefer?

I think PlayStation 5 is better because all of the games' graphics look incredible when it is 4K/8K resolution, but Xbox Series X has backwards compatibility via the disc option, or Xbox Game Pass. Do you think it would be possible if all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games are available in PlayStation Now are available as 'backwards compatibility'?

Nope, the 'quick launcher' makes you think it does, but it doesn't work like that. It's just a 'recent games' tab.

If you buy a Playstation and have a computer you have no need for an Xbox. ;)

if you have a good PC than no need to buy Xbox....you can play all Xbox games on PC...also game pass is available for PC too

Owning both machines I cannot tell which one I would drop off a cliff if I had to choose, but that alone should be worrying for Sony, because I have been a PS guy for 4 generations and now I can't tell for sure. Performance-wise, the Series X is the clear winner. Quick resume takes the cake. All the cake. Throw in real backwards compatibility, gamepass, superior raw power and cheaper games (at least in my country it is way cheaper than USD fixed PSN prices). Microsoft really pushed their limits. And their consoles and support are reliable. On the other hand, PS5 has the games. No contest here. Spiderman, TLOU, GoW, and a plethora of PS4 exclusive games do make every X fan out there cry on the inside. But they are not a software company, and it shows. I had a bad update kill my PS4's HDD. I've been needing to request a refund for days now and their refund site just doesn't work. The PS5 has issues with rest mode and the controllers are defective. On the brightside, the UI is aesthetically beautiful. I think Sony knows their strengths and plays to them, but Microsoft is playing the long game, looking into the future.

You have good taste when it comes down to these game system consoles and also I'll give you a mega A+ and ps5 vs Xbox series x

Xbox series x is more powerful than ps5 how you didn't say it for example in warzone Xbox series x can play it at 120fps and ps5 at 60fps and in fortnite Xbox pay it at 3880×2160p ps5 2880×2160p and in 9th zone Xbox gets 118 and ps 90

Its kinda confusing trying to figure out which design you like more. I've had xbox and play station consoles over the years I like how Microsoft keeps it simple with there design cause at the end of the day its called a x(box) but at the same time its 2021 and I want to see a system that looks futuristic. Both sony and Microsoft have made some pretty ugly looking systems but both have also made nice ones. Honestly I don't know which console I'll get when i get one. The ps5 looks amazing but the series x is more powerful with better color. I guess you can't have it all in 1 system lol

If playstation 5 get score 99, then Xbox series X get score 102. According to configuration & performance, I judge my score higher to Xbox series X.

I had my PS4 for over 7 years and I had a tough choice to make when it came to picking between the PS5 and Xbox One. In the end I chose the Xbox one because of things like Gamespass, quick resume and then also the slightly faster load times and better Teraflops. Tbh me and my mates mostly jam Warzone and its crossplay in any case so it wouldn't have mattered what consoles most of them have.

Honesty it all comes down to the games you want and what your friends have.Both are pretty comparable in all aspects.

great video and i like all the things you said: for me i chose the xbox bc: 1. i like the controllers and how they still have the classic feeling. 2. i prefer tps/fps games and i think Gears & Halo are the best in the genre. 3. most of my friends playing on xbox or cross-play games so that mean i have more players there (maybe not fifa players :D) 4. gamepass is indeed a bonus

I don't care for the PS5 controller. I turn vibrations off no matter what controller and the trigger tensions would be awkward to me. But I suppose some people like it.

XBOX really messed up by not developing the controller. It’s so old. The PS5 controller makes every game more immersive.

I just love the Series X|S But that PS5 Controller tho 😭 Like I don't care about anything PS5 Has, I love everything about xbox, specially game pass... But they were too lazy with the controller, that annoys me 😭 I want to experience Dual Sense so baaaad.

Cant find any reason to buy a playstation Couple titles i like But most games are lame Left Playstation a long time ago Because Microsoft blows away Sony on just about everything i can think of . Get an elite 2 controller for Xbox and you have hands down the best controller, who really wants haptic feedback I turn off vibration anyway.

Couple months ago I was all the way I want ps5, but wasn't available, and now I'm more to back to xbox again (in the past I was owning ps1, ps2, x360, ps3, xone and now I have ps4pro and nintendo switch. Ultimate pass is very tempting etc.

Only reason to choose ps5 is the exclusive and I hate it I m a PC Gamer and I love xbox cos they don't lock games behind their console

Microsoft and Sony have used the illusion of scarcity to sell to the consumer the new consoles at average cost of $1000.00 The only sources who each have a console are the influencers and it has been their jobs to hype and promote while the only units to be found are sold at $1000.00 and the common person is supposed to believe nothing can be done about it.

MS and Sony aren’t selling the consoles at $1000, they aren’t financially benefiting from the inflated prices.

@Souls Eater Preferences are important but I hope you realize how much of a PS fan boy you sound like right now. Youre the only person talking down about anything. Not only that, a lot of your points are arguable opinions that go against the grain and some of it is factually wrong. I've been playing across all the systems for years (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo), so I have a frame of reference. PS plus doesn't hold a candle to gamepass in terms of how many games you can play especially when some of these games are fresh releases. Just because you don't like the games on gamepass doesn't mean everyone feels the same. You said it feels cheap hardware wise when it's a fact that the hardware on the series X is better, because its a stronger system. Controllers come down to preference just like the games on GP and PsPlus, but a majority of people (incuding my friends who prefer PS) think that the Xbox controller is better. The 360 controller is regarded as one of the best controllers ever made, and Xbox has been keeping roughly the same design since. Yeah the Ps5 controller has been making changes and has haptic feedback which is a bonus, but some people (especially in shooters) don't even play with vibration on so it loses its value, and some people may not like the new controller design. You can have your preferences, but calling everything you don't like cheap garbage, doesn't help your argument.

@Tiger Falco gamepass is overrated and glorified garbage 🗑️ xbox's monthly given games are inferior in quality compared to PS' (ps plus ) and xbox doesn't give any "free" games to begin with . Only ps does it through play at home initiative . For me , other than playing old BC games , xsx holds no value . It feels cheap hardware wise ( even tho the dev cost is a little higher than Ps5's ) the controller feels cheap and last gen and not as ergonomic and as satisfying to use and as next gen as Ps5's . As for thing like the UX and features , ps5 screams innovation and risk taking and next gen immersion compared to xsx. It all comes down to preferences .

It largely depends on your gaming preferences: —If you're looking for first-party exclusives, Playstation is the way to go imo. They offer varietal, exciting games that easily keep the lifespan of the console going for years to come. —If you're looking for replayability, Xbox is the way to go. The console can play almost any older game pertaining to last-gen and can keep you playing for hours on end. —If immersion is a preference, PlayStation would be the answer there. The DualSense controller is a big selling point for Sony due to the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback (though it's up to the devs of games to add those features in).

Decision is quite easy to make honestly. Both consoles are good pieces of hardware, so just look at games and pick whichever game offerings are more for you.

I'll try and help, and be as unbiased as I can be. If you want the strongest system: Xbox If you want the most "free" games at Launch: Xbox (because gamepass) If you want a more reliable line up of incoming triple A games: Playstation My recommendation, get whichever you have the most friends on. If that's not a concern go for the one you think you'll play the most. Playstation based on track record will probably deliver more triple A games worth playing, but Xbox will give you the most games to play (and on a slightly stronger system as well).

Xbox performs better. Ps5 is still great. I would suggest both especially if you are a gears and halo fan.

I have both, online is better xbox I get all my online games on here, exclusives ps5, Xbox is more powerful, and quieter but ps5 just feels more of a leep.. Maybe because I had and xbox one x vs a base ps4. Controller yep ps5 is better, much better as well. It's weird as xbox should be better as it's more powerful and has more next gen features, but let's be honest it's about what games you play and how they feel playing them and ps5 pisses on it due to the exclusives and controller
