Call Screen is a must have that should be available on all phones. At this point Telemarketers just immediately hung up when Google's Call Screen kicks in. Satisfying.

I've had my 6 Pro since November last year and my experience with the hardware's been great. Even the fingerprint scanner is just fine in the right conditions. To me that translates to my hands not being dry which gets in the way of the scanner reading my fingerprint. When my hands aren't dry the fingerprint works great. Yes it's slower than a regular fingerprint scanner (Pixel 3 for example) but in my experience it's nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. One more thing I noticed is that the scanner works more reliably if I don't use my fingertip but a lower part of the finger where the fingerprint swirl is. Another point for me was the battery life. I came from a 3 year old Pixel 3 which by now had pretty terrible battery life so an improvement was easy to be had. However I noticed that disabling 5G and "Mobile Data Always Active" in developer options basically doubled my battery life to where I can without a problem squeeze 2 days out of my new Pixel. With every monthly patch I briefly tried enabling 5G but it didn't seem much better than it was which leaves me to believe that there's a hardware issue with the modem. I can live with it as 5G speeds in the Netherlands haven't been that big an upgrade for me. For now I'll keep it off and enjoy the fact that I can basically run my phone between 80% and 30% on a daily basis to keep battery degradation to a minimum. As far as the software goes, it's been hit and miss in terms of fluidity in the first software builds. While it was completely usable and still an upgrade compared to my previous Pixel 3, it kept getting smoother as it got updated which made me realize there was improvements to be had. I haven't had any of the major bugs or issues that have been reported on the internet. I wonder if all those issues could be solved by wiping the phone and starting fresh without a full restore from an old phone/backup.

I've had the 6 Pro since launch and it's been relegated to my work phone now. The hardware is awesome and the camera for still photography is best in class, IMO but the battery life was definitely worse than my Pixel 5 and not even in the same universe as my 13 Pro Max. Sucks Google couldn't improve upon the excellent battery performance of the 5/5A. I think the inferior modem they're using is to blame. Samsung and Apple use a Qualcomm modem that's more efficient and has a more stable connection. Hopefully the Pixel 7 improves on those two key area: signal reliability and battery life.

Nice long term review, I have the Pixel 6 and I think the screen is more than good enough, for the price the screen is fine, I'm loving the Pixel 6, with all the exclusives like Now Playing and call screening, I'm bummed that hold for me is still US only, we only got call screening recently in the UK and it works really well plus I love Android 12 and Material You, I just wish there were a wider choice of colour other than I love it, battery life is decent on my Pixel 6 but could be better as well as Google maybe including a telephoto lens similar to the Pixel 4 series but that's about it as far as gripes are concerned as I haven't really experienced any real bugs other than fingerprint reader which was mostly fixed with the February update, again great review.

I've used both Pixels pretty extensively these past 6 months, and I too haven't experienced almost any of the software bugs people have been complaining about. Even my fingerprint scanners have been fine. It's really only the autobrightness that I've really had a problem with. And, tbh, I probably prefer the Pro to the S22 Ultra.

@Treaver Hoerig yeah, I've had it for about a week now and feel like a crazy person because despite the universal acclaim for it, it seems kind of awful to me. Like the screen and camera are nice, sure, and it charges relatively fast...but the UI is slow and stuttery. Like even when it's technically not stuttering, it still feels way more jerky and abrupt than phones like the Pixel, OnePlus, and the iPhone. The battery life has also not been good at all. It's far worse than the S21U, and accubattery is saying I should only get 6.5 hours of SOT vs. the Pixel's 7 (pro) and 7.5 (standard 6). Maybe it's just me and you'll love it, but for me, I prefer both Pixels over it. And the OnePlus 10 tbh. Battery life and the fluidity of the UI is what's most important to me in a phone.

The Speech Recognition ist amazing and i love to Call companies through the gimmecs it has. I was stunned of battery life in the beginning but it went down pretty soon. (About 7-8h Screen on time) I got used to the Clean Android Style (former Samsung User here) and the only Thing i have to critizise are the many bugs with the Software. Bugs in Keyboard, App Launcher, Games and sometimes even Lockscreen. Luckily this doesn't Happens a Lot. I Miss Face or Iris Unlock Feature i Had with Samsung & the Fingerprint got really fast with the march update.. Totally Worth the 600€

There is no phone like pixel 6/pro. Nothing compares to the smoothness and the pure android 12 experience. No BLOAT WARE. ThaT is extra apps and shit you do not need pre-installed on a phone. These phones are gorgeous and smooth. The camera is arguably best in the game. The updates for these phones have pretty much killed issues. That used to be an issue. Pixel 6 is an AMAZING phone. Pixel 6 has curved edges and has a better OLED screen and 120 hz. but even without these things pixel 6 is still an awesome deal.

I have been an Apple user for the last 6 years, and have always boasted how Apple outperforms android smartphones, but, despite myself being a loyal Apple user, the user interface has become something so "normal" and nothing majorly new and exciting (that is until the iOS 16 update release). Which, over the last few months I've noticed the Pixel 6 Pro and watching the reviews and usage, it is been incredibly convincing to make the switch just to make a change and have a new feel. Again, despite not being a huge fan of android, the Pixel 6 Pro looks like a entire game changer.

The pixel 6 is an amazing phone the only real bug that's actually happening for people is the Wi-Fi bug and the auto brightest issue, everything else people say about the pixel being completely buggy, completely unusable is just internet fabrication. I also know 4 people who have the pixel 6 and 6 pro all on different carriers and the only thing that they say is the Wi-Fi bug which was fixed and the auto brightness bug which is still apparent to this day. If you hear anybody else talking about bugs with this phone and it's not related to the Wi-Fi or the auto brightness they r literally lying!

@John M I’m back to my iPhone 13 Pro Max after using the pixel 6 pro for about three months, what a breath of fresh air, everything just…. Works. Especially the Bluetooth, I can connect my headphones automatically without wondering if it’ll just stay in some kind of weird limbo or I can take out one earpiece without hoping that the music will resume. And yes, Face ID is so convenient especially after using that train wreck of a fingerprint scanner on Pixel lol

I actually just ditched my pixel for a 13 pro Max and couldn’t be happier l. This is my first iPhone after 7 years on android. It’s been great not having to restart my phone 3 times a day when the volume slider doesn’t disappear. Also iOS Face ID is superior to anything on android. Works in any bizarre face angle and lighting.

I have multiple phones due to work, so I managed to devise a personal test to determine the capability of the phone. Which is having a call, while using gps, while texting, swiping through apps to review some information (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Work Apps). I can tell it's pretty taxin since the phone usually gets warm/hot. Suffice to say, iPhone executes this flawlessly, while on Android it always lagged, stutter or crashed. Surprisingly, the Pixel 6 executed this flawlessly. So it's a huge win for me. Tensor is clearly capable.

Pixel 6 user here. One weird issue that I've experienced lately is audio distortion when recording videos at 4k 60fps, especially during concerts or loud events. It's odd because when I record using Snapchat or Instagram the audio is fine, but there's something about the camera software that produces heavily distorted audio. I looked up the issue and it seems like many people are experiencing it. If you're somewhere loud, record your videos at 4k 30fps instead.

Best phone I've had, wouldn't go back to iphone (which I haven't touched since a 4 after moving to andriod) or now a Samsung after getting the pixel 4xl a couple of years ago. The 6 pro is brilliant and one of the main things I look for is a decent camera. For the price this is a no brainer, does everything a Samsung does and has a better camera. @Doomy_Doomy you didn’t answer their question. If you have the phone it would be best to state how much storage you picked, what you store on the phone, do you store music streaming site videos on it, do you shoot 4K video and do you use Google Photos. That would be a helpful response. Not stating the obvious (depends on user).
Vor 2 Monate

The storage, video, and battery question is all determined on you. Depends on how you use your phone and what apps you use on your phone. Curved screens I have noticed it depends on your hand size. I have small hands so the curve goes nicely in my hand because my hands can barley grip it and it curves nicely into my palm.

The ONLY reason why I wouldn't get a Pixel 6 if I was someone who wanted more than 128 (technically 99gb) of interal storage. Is because, atleast here I Canada. We only get the base 128gb in only the Stormy Grey color. The 256gb and the 512gb storage option do not exists as well as the other color option do not exist here in Canada at all whatsoever. The only thing I don't like about my pixel 6 Pro is the way it charges. The charging on this thing is very suspect. The only time it charges really well is when I have it on the pixel stand. But if this phone is a little bit overheated it's not going to charge at all and when I mean a little bit I mean a little bit. But that's my only real gripe with this phone. I've heard all the complaints and I just haven't experienced all those things either because I don't have them on my phone or I wasn't looking for them. I also went with the pro because I wanted the cloudy white version, the 120 refresh rate, the telephoto lens (which I just used today) and the bigger screen and the better feel in the hands. Personally I think that is worth the extra $300.

Screen brightness is horrible and has to be on max most of the day which takes a real toll on battery life.(you cannot beat battery life of an p30 pro on max performance and max bright p30 to eats this pixel 6 pro) The fact it will not take any other charger I had in the house and I had to order another specialized charger was a real turn off it was a last minute money grab once u purchased the phone . Other aspects of the phone are fine but these are 3 pieces of info I wish I had before I purchased as it would of definitely swayed my decision. Please take this constructively, from a 6 month later review we expect updates on how well the phone has aged, what’s the status on bugs, is it still worth buying. It’s not what I got from your video, it was much quicker to just check the comments for that. You have nice delivery style and visuals, you need to work on making the videos crisp It much easier for me to ignore and leave without commenting, do let me know if that’s what’s better

Dude yes, I like how minimal they are but other than that my experience with it was awful. Not only discoloration, but the case started warping around the charging port, the power button, and volume buttons. Thankfully I had a Zagg screen protector on it. I have a small crack on the screen protector near the power button because the case didn't maintain its original shape. Switched to an OtterBox case from Verizon much better. It's pretty light, protects the device without any of that warping, and protects from dirt and stuff getting into the charging port.

They are too expensive now and hard to recommend at retail prices. Thankfully nearly all the bugs and issues are now resolved for me. It is a solid phone but I got a good deal on the OPPO Find X5 Pro and that is just a much better experience for me; smoother, faster, similar camera quality, better battery life, nicer display, faster charging and Android 12 seems so much better on the OPPO it is weird!

@andyH_England the Pixel has 5 years of security updates which is more than Oppo and don't expect timely updates from Oppo as well, for me color OS looks horrible, I prefer the Pixel UI and software over any 3rd party Android skin.

I literally just took the Pixel Pro 6 back and paid the 50$ restocking fee and got the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I loved the design and I actually loved the software as well. What broke me was the weak signal I got using this phone on Verizon which I never encountered before. Also the pixel buds connections issues really frustrated me. I had to keep restarting the entire phone to get the buds to link up correctly. The android UI and ecosystem is so amazing. I’m genuinely frustrated I had to take the phone back and go right back to apple. I did upgrade from the 12 mini but I didn’t want to remain on apple I was excited to switch. Such a bummer.

Went from Pixel 6 Pro to Xiaomi 11T Pro the Xiaomi is way more premium experience, the Pixel has so many issues that i felt like I'm using a phone from 10 years ago, the switch to Xiaomi was a little scary, knowing the OS is trash, i honestly got used to it tho in a few days, everything else is perfection, only thing Pixel has better than my Xiaomi 11T Pro is better camera software, Xiaomi has a pretty average camera experience. 😕

Vor 2 Monatedis6900

@C Conn i dont like One UI actually, it looks way cheap and cute cartoon somehow, maybe because of affection from Korean Culture, but I respect their points. Also I used Sam Sung phone before and it's slow overtime so fast that make a deal breaker for me
Vor MonatC Conn
Vor 2 MonateTreaver Hoerig

(About 7-8h Screen on time) I got used to the Clean Android Style (former Samsung User here) and the only Thing i have to critizise are the many bugs with the Software.

Vor 22 TageJohn M

Vor 2 MonateDoomy_Doomy
The storage, video, and battery question is all determined on you. Depends on how you use your phone and what apps you use on your phone. Curved screens I have noticed it depends on your hand size. I have small hands so the curve goes nicely in my hand because my hands can barley grip it and it curves nicely into my palm.

Idk if i should take my chances or get the s22 ultra ?? Do you think is worth it?
Vor 2 Monatedoc B
I have 13 Pro, Pixel 6, and Galaxy S22. Love all of them. The pixel is something special. if only the finger print reader wasn't so bad. I had to set it up to stay unlocked at home and at work. which solves the problem for the most part. The reader also isn't as bad as some make it out to be. I wouldn't wait for 7, the 6 is fantastic.
Vor 2 Monateborg386
s22 ultra finger print sensor doesn't even work
Vor 28 TageWakeUpAmerican000s
doc B - Sorry to hear that fingerprint reader is so flakey, but thank you for the heads up. Waiting for the 7 might be worthit - maybe they'll actually respond to customer demand to include a headphone jack so we can again enjoy good fidelity music from our phone.
Vor MonatgLOWbal
I love the phone but the battery has been giving up on me in the past days. I already put the animations at 0.5 and turned off GPS, 2G and 5G.
Vor 2 MonategLOWbal
@Randall Henderson I'm thinking about getting it replaced by my carrier/provider
Vor 2 MonateRandall Henderson
@gLOWbal Yeah, due to battery issues, I'm resigned to simply upgrade every year, and keep a charger with me in my bag when I travel.
Vor 2 MonategLOWbal
@Randall Henderson Honestly? Not much unfortunately. It's almost 6pm and I'm at 29% since 7am
Vor 2 MonateRandall Henderson
Has that helped?
Vor 2 MonateDartgame 340
I gave up on the fingerprint sensor . It's just an aggravation when using a screen protector. There is a list of things I do not like about this phone. Can't wait to trade it in or sell it.
Vor 2 MonateDean Waller
Take the screen protector off then

How did you get the work profile? I have the 6 pro
Vor 2 MonateJeremy Strong
felt like it was more of a phone review than a 6 months review, great video though.
Vor MonatT Rev
I have the pro coming from a Huawei p30 pro.. it's been a transition to say the least. Picture quality is not as good as the p30 pro I don't care what he says . I would have preferred the Huawei overall but not a bad phone. Do your homework people .

My Pixel 6 Pro has a few bugs (screen locking, dropping wifi) that make me want to throw it into the ocean 😭

Am I the only one who noticed recently how beast the Pixel 6 Pro is now since the recent updates? 👀

Vor 16 TageRobbin Hoodie
I've had my pixel 6 for about 6 months it doesn't let you answer some incoming calls and today it stopped connecting to the internet, it's just a brick 😟
Vor 2 MonateSingularity
So what do you guys think? Samsung with something like an s19 or a pixel 6?
Vor 2 MonateSolarBony
Don't know whether I should buy the 6 or wait for the 6a however if I buy the 6a I think there will be a few bugs which I'd rather avoid. Was also wondering if I should get the xiaomi 12 instead but I can't decide
Vor MonatSophie Ca
I am waiting for 6a because of its size. I have small hands...
Vor 11 TageNicholas Leger
My only hope is that the 7 pro has an excellent battery life compared to the 6, tbh it was kinda of a strong weakness for me anyways

7:33 - Can someone explain what's happening in this shot? Is the back of the Pixel 6 Pro touch-sensitive? Did he swipe his finger on the back to show the notification shade??

I am getting a new phone today as my 7 year old Samsung s9 is on its last leg. Ive decided on a pixel since Im not brand loyal just not a fan of ios. This has helped me chose between, thanks I will look at the screen in the store and if its too bad I will get the pro otherwise the 6 will be fine for my needs.

Gotta love the "Chrome Dino" game.
Vor 2 MonateHarjot Shah Singh
Please take this constructively, from a 6 month later review we expect updates on how well the phone has aged, what’s the status on bugs, is it still worth buying. It’s not what I got from your video, it was much quicker to just check the comments for that. You have nice delivery style and visuals, you need to work on making the videos crisp It much easier for me to ignore and leave without commenting, do let me know if that’s what’s better

The phone is okay now after the updates. But please stay away from OEM Google cases they scratch your phone and after month the case gets lose dirty gets in.
Vor 2 MonateMicah Johnson
Dude yes, I like how minimal they are but other than that my experience with it was awful. Not only discoloration, but the case started warping around the charging port, the power button, and volume buttons. Thankfully I had a Zagg screen protector on it. I have a small crack on the screen protector near the power button because the case didn't maintain its original shape. Switched to an OtterBox case from Verizon much better. It's pretty light, protects the device without any of that warping, and protects from dirt and stuff getting into the charging port.

Has the slow fingerprint unlocking been fixed?
Vor MonatandyH_England
They are too expensive now and hard to recommend at retail prices. Thankfully nearly all the bugs and issues are now resolved for me. It is a solid phone but I got a good deal on the OPPO Find X5 Pro and that is just a much better experience for me; smoother, faster, similar camera quality, better battery life, nicer display, faster charging and Android 12 seems so much better on the OPPO it is weird!
Vor 2 MonateBenjamin Jagun
@andyH_England the Pixel has 5 years of security updates which is more than Oppo and don't expect timely updates from Oppo as well, for me color OS looks horrible, I prefer the Pixel UI and software over any 3rd party Android skin.
Vor MonatMatthew Hurts
@andyH_England Pixel gets five years of security updates, but it's good Oppo has improved its support if that's true.
Vor 2 MonateandyH_England
@Matthew Hurts It says on the paperwork three years of Android updates and four year security which is the same as the Pixel!
Vor 2 MonateMatthew Hurts
The Oppo won't be supported with software updates as long as the Pixel.
Vor 2 MonateGaston Piget
My fingerprint sensor is not just slow, often it is not responsive. Sometimes, when it opens, it takes me to an app I wasn't intending to go to instead of to the start screen. Beyond these quirks, I am generally satisfied.

Connectivity problems ruining my experience
Vor 2 MonateGodOfRebounds
Vor 2 MonateNikola Novakovic
Yes no one is talking about the signal, and it is pretty bad. I had to replace one thinking it's a one of problem, but the second phone is the same. Now I've ordered iPhone 13 pro. In the mean time I got Samsung galaxy S22 and the signal improved tenfold but the speakers are pretty bad on the Samsung. Cheers

Should i wait for the pixel 7? like i have a Xiaomi Mi A3 and i wanted a pixel, i have the money to buy the 6, and recently my phone fell and now its kinda destroyed from the cam and backplate and i was thinking of buying the 6 in this week

I am wondering, how does it connect to aftermarket car stereos? Am used to Sony, which automatically identifies the car stereo and sets the bluetooth volume to a preset value which can't be altered (what can be altered with a Samsung, which annoys me like anything)
Vor MonatEenam
Went from Pixel 6 Pro to Xiaomi 11T Pro the Xiaomi is way more premium experience, the Pixel has so many issues that i felt like I'm using a phone from 10 years ago, the switch to Xiaomi was a little scary, knowing the OS is trash, i honestly got used to it tho in a few days, everything else is perfection, only thing Pixel has better than my Xiaomi 11T Pro is better camera software, Xiaomi has a pretty average camera experience. 😕
Vor Monatterry bogard
Mi pixel 6 pro only last 9 days before the screen begin to crack without taking any fall and always with the case and screen protector, and Google won't admit it's a fabrication issue.
