Possible theory: Maybe being clumsy is an after result of not doing sports as a child that develop coordination. My friend plays badminton in a league and I’ve never seen him knock anything over, in addition he has really fast reflexes.

When emirichu talked about dropping food, my heart dropped. I have done this WAY more times than I would like. For some reason, food just leaves my hands. If I am holding a tray, then suddenly, the tray is upside down on the floor. If I am holding a plate, I end up dropping it, and glass and food end up all over the floor. For the longest time, my parents banned me from using glass plates, bowls, or cups. It didn't really help much tho because if they left a glass plate or bowl on a counter or just sitting at the table, I would somehow just bump into it, and it was all over the floor. I even managed to break glass dishes trying to wash the dishes. First, I would be washing it, and all of a sudden, it was crashing back into the sink, breaking as many glass dishes as possible. I have a lot of clumsy moments that were embarrassing, painful, or both. Doors, poles, tables, and stairs are a good example of both. I remember I was just on a walk with a few friends, and it was a great conversation, but somehow I didn't notice all of them move away from a pole and ran into it. My friends found it really funny but for me, it just kind of hurt. I never stopped doing this either I just bump into things, and it is painful and embarrassing every time. I did have a boyfriend at one point tho who noticed this about me, and when we went out together, he would like to guide me as we walked. If I was about to bump into a pole or something, he would just grab my arm and shift me over out of the way. I am not with him anymore, but I still appreciate that he did that for me. Edit: Sorry, I just really felt like sharing some of my stories. It is a topic I can relate to.

I get the caution about glass and other delicate things. whenever I see one near the edge of a surface I push it away from the edge to avoid knocking it over (and also the avoid the urge to destroy it because I constantly struggle with destructive urges (these urges don't just apply to glass but generally apply to anything that I personally didn't work hard to build, only my Warhammer collection is truly safe from them though they are still sometimes the victims of my clumsiness))

Clumsiness can be genetic, it has to do with your eyes ( Depthperception) or the fluids in your inner ear being off balance. For my two sisters it was their eyes.

Everybody else shared a story so I’ll share one: I was riding bikes with my dad once, and there is this blunt bend you have to turn to get to the Main Street from the alley behind my house. It had rained about a day or 2 before, so there was a big puddle I couldn’t avoid in the bend. I was going a little quick, so I tried to slow down to turn. I skidded in the puddle and I fell side ways. The bike fell on me, and somehow I got a huge, deep gash in the back of my leg. We went back out later that day, but there was a huge bruise on the back of my leg where the cut was. Thank you for reading to the end! Here’s a cookie! 🍪

One time I was playfully threatening my friend, and I stood up and fell, right on the ground.

I’m also kind of a klutz. Once (at my old house), when I managed to do a *high* roundhouse kick (yes, a roundhouse), I hit a plate on the table and as you can guess, *skadoosh.* broke the plate.

Let me tell you a story... I was playing with my favorite Tonka truck and I was sprinting at full speed while pushing it and then I tripped and slid on my face for about 8 feet on a concrete sidewalk... Let's just put it lightly, I couldn't see out my right eye for about 2 months and couldn't lay on my right side of my face for the same amount of time... So big Oof on my part

You poor souls. 😢 Though I gotta admit, I've had some rare moments, here and there. 1st one that comes to mind was when my mom and I were living with the man who'd eventually become my stepdad. There was these kitchen counters he had that I would, every so often, accidentally run my hips into the corners of them. Hitting you hipbones on kitchen counter corners is, by far, one of the worst kinds of pain I've ever experienced. I think it's tied with getting gut-punched, taking a fastball to my left shoulder at age 10, getting swatted with a walnut baseboard, smacking the side of my head on a bunkbed post made of steel square pipe, and my appendix during the evening of December 30, 2010 to New Year's Day 2011 (with the added bonus of me thinking to myself, "This is it. This is how I'm gonna go out. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die at age 14."; you can probably imagine that A LOT went through my mind).

I accidentally ran into a glass door once I didn’t break it. So, I when I went on vacation there was a pool in the backyard. We usually kept the door open though. I was going inside to get a snack and ran into the door. So that’s how I ran into a door.

I used to be the clumsy loud best friend in primary school, so I was hanging out with my besties and we were holding books and drinks and I needed up dropping my drinks on the floor while looking for a seat. And whoosh, there went my money i Spent. I was disappointed but didn’t show it, so I just went to buy more. On the way there, a bird was on the floor and I nearly stepped on it, panicked and lost my balance, and ended up in the infirmary several times.I am “totally not clumsy” heheheh... P.S. still sobbing at home because of the money wasted on my fruit juice

when i transferred to a school when i was at grade-5, first thing that happened was i got near a vase...and without even touching it, it still fell and broke while all of my classmates were looking at me. another story is i was holding a glass or water not even an inch high, and it slipped from my hands...and broke. I'm serious it wasn't even an inch high but still broke. and i love your videos keep up the great work.

This passed summer, I was hiking in the desert in Arizona while wearing my M1 helmet, (US standard combat helmet used from 1941 to 1985), safety first, kids. When I was walking under a cliff when I heard an audible, metallic **CLUNK!!** It was so jarring, I hit the deck (No, I'm not a veteran). I turned around and said, "Okay, who's hucking rocks at me? Wait. I'm alone out here." I look down and saw a large rock on the ground. I took the helmet off and inspected the damage and saw nothing. I just put it back on and continued walking.

I had to get physical education in elementary school due to being so clumsy and uncoordinated, which was believed to be caused by how fast I was growing (i was in the 90th percentile for height till around 6th grade). I also did a similar thing where I smashed through a glass storm door, (i think i was around 3) but I got covered in so many cuts I had to get like 20-25 stiches at the hospital, and because I was too young to be put under, the doctors stuck me in a straight jack (which I almost squeezed out of), so I wouldn't fight them while they put stiches into my head.

This is so relatable!! I am VERY clumsy 🙃 yet never hurt myself. 🤔

Here's a few in no particular order. -Falls onto concrete trying to get off a trampoline, concussion (brother) -Rode a tricycle backwards off grandma's porch, broken arm (brother) -Tripped on the stairs of that exact porch, big cut on his forehead (brother) -Small town Arkansas shenanigans, breaks hand with a sledgehammer (brother) -Shovels ashes out of fire pit, lights half the lawn on fire with some coals at the bottom (brother) -Fell off the top bunk (me) -Pissed off a dog, got bit (me) -Climbs up a tube slide on the playground, get kicked (me) -Plays outside for too long, almost had a heat stroke (me) -Headbutting match, loses tooth (me) -Numerous events with fireworks (both) I'm in the top 10% of my school. My brother is also pretty smart. How?

I am extremely clumsy as well. Here is something that happened to me just today: I had to feed my neighbor's dogs, and while I was carrying their food to them, I slipped on literally nothing and spilled the food everywhere, then I tripped over a branch on the way back, then my dog ran into me while we were walking back and I fell over, then when I tried to get back up I slipped again, and when we FINALLY got back I tipped my chair over trying to take off my shoes, AND THENNNNNN I slipped on the floor on my way to my room. And that all happened just today
