Awesome and inspirational. About the basecoat. Spraypaint would have eaten away the foam, leaving you with a pile of sticks and rope. That would have been sad.

Im about to make my first diorama ever. I bought packs of wooden coffee stirrers and I will begin with a small wood palisade settlement or fort.

Looks great. Couple of things ive seen from other modellers, regarding dirt. They scatter first, then spray alcohol to wet, then spray the glue. Pump spray, so diy, alcohol can be replaced with water/detergent 98:2. Also, dead leaves through a blender :)

You have to buys epoxi resin. Didnt make it myself. Then check the mixing proportions

Very nice. May I respectfully suggest, in future, you may wish to add darker marks along the paths to show a worn surface where people are constantly walking? (Or lighter, depending on the types of paths)

For sand or dirt I use baking soda, sand just looks like gravel at this scale

You seem to use lots of materials that look to be Finnish? What brans of xps foam are You using? I myself use the blue Finnfoam, and it's not very suitable for carving with pencil. - Crafting bröther from Finland
