Here's a quick look at nursing in the 1930s vs nursing in 2022. Nurses in the past were required to wear all white, hats, and dresses/skirts. While some facility's may use a similar dress code today, most facilities have dropped the hats and use a color-coded scrubs system.
While nurses still use wired phones, Vocera and other companies continue to change the way nurses communicate, and digital forms of texting or chat are increasingly being used.
And while some documenting is done manually on paper, much of our nursing process is now electronic, with computerized charting and data entry.
In addition, so much has changed in terms of nursing technology. Patients often get much of their vitals taken by machine, though we still sometimes get them manually.
How do you think nursing will change over the next 100 years?

Can you do a video on being pregnant as a nurse? I’m having trouble at work because smells are so much more intense now.

I always find it ironic that the stethoscope is around the neck collecting every microbe in the air as possible.

That is why it is important to follow proper procedures for every competency including auscultation: before and after using stethoscope the appropriate training Is to clean the bell, eartips, and tubing of the stethoscope! The stethoscope always has to be on the nurses person, so follow safety first!
