Bubba's World w/ James Stewart
subscribers: 67 Tsd.
It's Rewind time people! Another week of racing the new SMX format and we got to see a whole different style of track which allowed some riders to do better while others struggled compared to Charlotte's track. The 250 class was action packed with Jo Shimoda no longer being an "Average Jo" and riding the best he ever has while Hunter bounced back after a rough round last weekend. The 450 class was the talking point of it all though with the "Pass heard around the world" and we break it all down on if Jett was actually doing the math in his head or if he pulled over to avoid getting passed by Ken straight up. As always, sit back because you're now in Bubba's World 🌎😎

The HIGHS and LOWS of the night really made it so much more special . Once Shimoda passed Haiden I thought the overall might slip away. It was so nerve racking to see Haiden come back moto 2. Yup, Bubba is the best by far. I'm getting disappointed the MX world hasn't caught on and pushed this show to a million+ subs by now. James is doing a great job, and deserves better numbers. Need more guests, too. Also, as much as I love RC and appreciate him, James is a superior commentator for TV, it's time to make James the permanent guy in the booth, with Ricky giving race reports on the track.

I think it was disrespectful. I think at his young age going 22-0 outdoors may have boosted his young ego so much that he couldn't take a world class rider like Kenny breaking him down and passing him without a stupid excuse. And that excuse was disrespectful to Ken and his family. I think jett has a rude awakening coming in sx. He's not experienced. He's got Eli, Kenny, Bam Bam, El homere coming for him. Vor 2 Monate@bigboi36 +1
Here is what I think. Jett Lawrence let Kenny pass him so that he wanted to study how Kenny rides. If Kenny catches him in the last motto he knows how he rides. Notice how he then followed Kenny closely after. This is strategy. Class is in Session. Or Jett had a side bet😂

Yeah, I agree, I think it was a bit disrespectful of Jett. I think he should've just not raced him too hard, just because it wasn't worth the risk, but to wave him by and tell everyone why was unnecessary and rude. I think Ken was going to get him anyways, perhaps because Jett didn't need to win, but even still, I think Ken had the ability and speed to do it straight up on that track, but he and we were robbed of that. I think Ken is going to be really strong this year in Supercross, he's healthy again (cross fingers), conditioning is looking to be back on point so hopefully fading is in the past, and he's just in a really good place in his life with his wife and kids. I really like Jett, it's been very exciting, been a fan from the start, but first and foremost I'm a Roczen fan, I've been pulling for him since his MX2 days. I don't think Haiden had anything for Hunter even without the mistake on the finish line. And the places where you could pass seemed so far apart that you don't even have to worry about cross-jumping or anything. the sand turns. a couple other turns were also very rutted (e.g., 2 turns before the wall jump). everyone got caught in one or the other and when the other line was hit just right it looked worlds faster. but he definitely didn't have the pace that night.
Vor 2 Monate@localtoys731
not making excuses but if you watch his video he dad did not want him to race he was so sick strep and tonsil swelling. Guess we will see what happens at the next race.
Vor 2 Monate@daneg
@@localtoys731 ok. irrelevant to my post. but ok. (he didn't have the pace, and the track was such that hunter could pass w/o worrying about haiden doing stuff like he did at thunder valley).

@@daneg also bro he 1-1 without doing anything like that with pressure from Hunter, Deegan was still finding his footing at thunder valley

@@marko0os268 cool story "bro." this may surprise you, but I'm a deegan fan. I like the idea of him winning. he. had. nothing. for hunter at chicago. full stop. IN THIS PODCAST, JS7 alluded to Hunter maybe having to deal with deegan blocking him. So I pointed out that such behavior, which deegan has done in the past and therefore must be accounted for in the future, wasn't going to come into play at chicago. but if we're really going to get into the dirt on this, are you really gonna sit there and say "he was just finding his footing" in TV and then declare it perfectly safe to run around him b/c you're faster than he is (that night) and he knows it? really? no...really? please.

I think Hunter got lucky that he didn't get the whole shot because running second you could see the lines, this is something the guy in first cant see, especially in these conditions, not like a supercross track, thats small and you can see the other side just from the next lane, in this case, the person running up front can't see, second place can see the lines of the person in front of them, compared to the person who got the holeshot and you can see where they're losing time and where they're not and you can change your lines up which is what happened Haiden. Just pick some bad lines and they ended up getting them just like the Finish line jump, the little burm there that was working before after 40 other bikes have gone through it about five or six laps it finally just blow it out, he didn't have anything to lean on anymore when he came in there and so when he leaned into it there you go, it gave away so Hunter could see that and so Hunter could go a different line or he knows he couldn't lay it over no more like that so, thats why I think Hunter got lucky,I mean don't get me wrong, I did learn something this weekend that getting the whole shot which in a lot of cases in most cases your good to do that but unfortunately in this case it's was nighttime and it was dark and the track was really hard to see and couldn't really see the lines changing as you was going around the track where the guy behind you could see how your motorcycle was reacting in those lines and they could pick different ones so in this case being upfront might not have been the best thing for the first 10 minutes compared to being second behind the person and watch the track develop and that's exactly what happened to Haiden this weekend, it wasn't Haiden's riding as much as it was just line choices that he just couldn't see changing like everybody behind him could, granted that still don't mean Haiden would have won, we don't know these things, we not prophets or anything, but I can see how it failed him this weekend in thise conditions compared to getting the whole shot on a day time out doors track.

I totally agree. These former riders/commentators point out different aspects. I appreciate how JS7 explain the physical ability, mindset and race skill of the riders.

The thing nobody is talking about,, Kennys Dad was at the race. Jett lived with and was coached by Kennys dad when he was young. I feel it was his way to repay the Roczen family without it effecting his chances.

OMG, I hope Jett can roll out from this..🙈 I don’t want to even imagine, all the 450 guys - best from best, before gate drops, keeps you in their mind.🤷♂️🤔

Jett is a genius in the sport and will take the comp out. But this drama will make it a grand finale

Interesting to learn that what Jett did would've had some utility if the points structure worked like it does in outdoors (ie, points per moto). Cool to learn stuff like this. Thanks JS7!

Kenny was flying, but Jett kept slowing bit by bit to try and let Kenny by naturally - for the bad math reason he gave. Finally got frustrated with it not happening and waved Kenny by. Was that out of line and backfired on him? Yup. But Jett was gone...Period.
Vor 2 Monate@Jack-by2hg +3
I don’t think Jett had anything to prove this weekend. That was an outdoor track through and through. We will see how Jett does this week on supercross. Now he definitely has a point to prove to see if he can handle Ken Roczen and sexton.
