My wheaton terrier finds rats even under the snow, no training, he just loves it. And he won't eat them lol, he puts them in a pile and then expects me to get rid of them for him, I think he just hates them! If you ever need another dog for rat hunting and are curious about different breeds... I'd definitely say wheatons are naturals! Great pets too, cuddly bugger.

Hi!! I'm new here and I really liked your content. I'd like to ask two questions that you probably often reply to people: what do you do with the live rats you catch and put in the cage? Aren't you afraid of any diseases the rats might have by catching them with bare hands? What about the dogs?

This was SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!! I have always loved the incredible teamwork between the dogs, Minks, and the humans. This is one effective dog team you have Joseph. Job well done to you all and all the hard work and time you put into it! ;) :) I just wanted to let you know that all that dust in the air that the dogs are being exposed to, can be harmful to their lungs. They can get pneumonia or dust allergies. Maybe have an onsite vet for your team just to check and see if the dogs are fine after being exposed to all that dirt and dust in the air. :) Just some helpful advice. @JosephCartertheMinkMan

Last summer here in NC me and my girls were walking on a paved greenway, which got into a swampy area. Thick on one side and beaver dam on the other. A black mink hopped in the grass and crossed the pavement in front of us. First time I've ever seen one in the wild. I don't think their range is in this area. Kinda neat since I had just started watching this channel.
