Vor 2 yearsJayson +56
@Vincent Dong MJ still the Goat because of other accomplishments, but Lebron faced a much more tremendous team in Spurs (TD, Parker, Ginobli, Kawhi) and Warriors (Curry Thompson Green Iggy, Livingston, Bogut) hence game 7. Superteam wasn't common during the 90's, and Jordan had an elite teammate in Pippen. Kemp was good but wasn't elite, Jazz had 2 elite opponents but their shooting guard was fucking Jeff Hornacek and center Greg Fucking Ostertag they should not have one a single game.

0:56 probably one of the most underrated block of all time. LeBron was basically ready to block the shot on both side. To be able to do that, you have to have the awareness, the IQ, the athleticism and the wingspan. I don't think there is a lot of people on this planet that are able to do that. Yet, we never hear about that block, everyone acts like it's a normal thing.
Vor yearEngr. Jessy de Castro +93
Every year LeBron has been a MVP candidate. It feels like getting robbed most of the time in MVP race. In my thoughts, NBA MVP is given to those who are dominant in regular season and chokes in the playoffs.

LeBron is just the perfect example of a Lion I’ve ever seen in my life. LeBron’s logo is a Lion, he has a Lion tattoo on his right arm, his shoes also have Lions logo. Media called him King James and Lions are kings. LeBron came into NBA as a young Lion trying to become King and he became King in his prime winning his first chip, still ruled the world as a King in Cleveland after beating mighty Warriors, then KD is like a jealousy evil Scar Lion who wanted a kingdom of his own so he joined Warriors to beat the King, then LeBron became old Lion who is still the King in league after winning with Lakers, to show the world he’s still a King like a Lion. Vor 2 yearsrenato locsin
@Zetsu Tsuletsu the truth/ reason there was bec after Jerry West won the FMVP award in 1969 coming from a losing team....the NBA then made a silent rule that FMVP winner should only come from a winning team. That's why since then...the losing team would never have a FMVP awardee
Vor 2 yearsrenato locsin +1
@Zetsu Tsuletsu the truth is...after Jerry West won FMVP in 1969 coming from a finals loss....the NBA made a silent rule that FMVPs should only come from the winning team...that's the simple fact. Coz how could they have denied LBJ then when he led both teams in points, rebounds & assists.

I agree that James and Jordan cannot be compared. They played in completely different eras, playstyles, and all-around different types of basketball. Just because MJ was good in the 80s/90s, does not mean he would be as good now. Players are different, people shoot 3s more, the jumper is somewhat of a last-resort, dunks are as frequent as layups. The only thing similar between the 80s' NBA and the 2010s'-20's NBA is needing to bounce the ball to move. Jordan has more titles, LeBron has more points. That doesn't make MJ better than LeBron, or vice-versa. If they played at the same time, they could definitely be compared. At that point, I still believe Jordan would come out on top. Think about the phrase, "jack of all trades." LeBron is like a sort of Queen of all trades. He can do everything, but he does it well. He can shoot 3's, mid-range, finish through contact, pass the ball and create good looks for his teammates, the list goes on. Jordan was the same way, except he was more of a king of all trades. He did everything, just like LeBron, but with a little more consistency. The defining trait of a good team player is the ability to make his teammates better. Jordan was more saturated in this aspect than LeBron is. Jordan performed better during his career. But who knows? LeBron could have been the more dominant in Jordan's era if he played back then. Jordan could have been the less dominant in LeBron's era. However, since they didn't play together, we have no way of knowing. I guess they're both GOATs.

Lebron is a brilliant player no doubt, one of the best ever. Michael Jordan has been regarded as the GOAT by the majority of players, commentators, and spectators for the last 20 years at least, since he retired. If Lebron has surpassed Jordan, he needs to have overtaken Jordan in achievements, skill level, and contribution to the game. Jordan has more championships, more MVP's, more finals MVP's, more scoring titles, and a defensive player of the year award. To watch both players there is an obvious difference. Lebron is big and strong while Jordan has an unmatched level of grace, creativity, and ability to pull off the most extraordinary plays ever witnessed in the game. Look at both players simple jump shot, Jordans is arguably the most beautiful ever witnessed in the game, far exceeding Lebrons. How many times have you watched Jordan highlights and exclaimed, "Nobody else has ever done that before". Lebron certainly has some impressive dunks and buzzer beaters, but not on that level where it is a truly unique play. It is clear that Lebron has not surpassed Jordan yet, whether he does in the future is yet to see.
