Navy SEAL Teaches Teen A Big Lesson | Chad Williams Speech | Goalcast

How about the Dad being a great Dad and support his son by finding a Navy SEAL to help him. This is what we need more of in our society, to teach, honor, and value fatherhood. It is sorely missing.

Except that in Russia their sons are not rebellious, sons always admire their dads and respect their dads. That is the truth

Vor 26 Tage
Eric Perez
Eric Perez

You read my exact thinking. Probably his dad was trying to make him challenge him, knowing his son is already so rebellious he was using reverse psychology to make his son successful. He knew "if I used opposite words of what I exactly wanted to say my son will suceed" perhaps that was his thinking and that is what precisely he did. It is as in Russia father's would look for their sons to become the best of what they can be. That is the truth.

I’m a high school drop out and had periodic moments of homelessness. Enlisted in the Army, went airborne, deployed, and was honorably discharged. I love stories like this one. I was a high school drop out, who joined the military. Once I completed boot camp and initial training, I reported to my first duty station. There, I was fortunate enough to have had several mentors who helped me rise from E-1 to E-5 in a very short time. They also encouraged me to go back to school and earn my undergraduate degree. I left the military, graduated from college, and went to officer candidate school. My commissioned service culminated in a graduate degree, and retirement after 20 honorable years of service. Was I special? Don’t think so. However, I was motivated by someone who told me that I was a nobody, and would never amount to anything. That stinging assessment of the teenage me drove me to prove them wrong.

Congrats Chad. I’ve been with my wife since my stepson was a little boy. He’s been allowed to quit everything he does if it is difficult or he fails at first. She has literally tried to “protect” him from the world to the point he is now 18 year old school dropout. Unemployed. He sits in his room that his mom allowed a tv, Xbox, Nintendo, wii, amazon fire stick and Apple TV (yet no alarm clock). He sleeps until whenever he wants, plays on his electronics all day. He’s even been caught peeing in a water bottle so he wouldn’t have to go to the bathroom. I consider him a fully functioning quadriplegic. I see the potential in that kid and have no say. It’s truly sad to witness. And what’s worse is because he’s so isolated and is always being praised by her for his less than par effort, he truly thinks he’s doing good. I believe the best thing for him is to get away from us.

I wanted to be a seal but was blessed with blazing lack of speed and height. But what I lacked in brawn I more than made up for in grit, determination and smarts. I became an Army Combat Engineer and a Danm good one. Not everyone can become a Seal or Green Beret as it is a combination of a lot of factors. But you can be an awesome soldier. This advice was given to me by a mentor of mine who completed Buds at 28 after 10 years in the navy. Kept putting in for it until they took him. Did multiple rotations in Iraq, Afghanistan until his body could do no more. Just retired from the navy after 28 years. Still looks like he is 25 but has the wisdom of Yoda...

One might feel tempted to reply: Well, times have changed since "War is a Racket" was published. And they have indeed. They've become even worse.

The amount of times I was approached by military recruiters between the ages of 18-21yrs old in Georgia. In retrospect maybe I should've taken'em up on their offer.. They offered discipline, purpose, motivation and tuition to go towards studying the skills to pursuing whatever makes you happy..

Reminds me of when my dad was trained by Australia’s best paint ball player and the most funniest story he told me about that is when he had his first 1v1 with him and the guys said “remember don’t cheat” goes behind a barricade bell rings and in the first half second the guy peaks around the barricade fires heads back behind it and hits my dad square in the head HALF A SECOND! but my dad became better and better so yeah

Not everyone can inspire to be a Seal but a good start is just being a soldier. Join the military and jump start your life. Serve 3 years and go from there.

that intro is literally me right now. However with the coronavirus things are moving pretty slow in the recruiting dpt. I also had 2 injuries requiring surgery during the process which slowed things down but I refuse to give up after setting my mind on this.

I remember listening to one of Ray Lewis's rants about how he reveled in adversity, he embraced struggle as an opportunity. It was kinda nuts (classic Ray Lewis) but i could understand what a powerful mindset that would be.

Look People. Seals are Great. I'm an Army Ranger. I was in the same Ranger Class with David Goggins. He even told me that Rangers are just as tough as Seals! I'll never forget when he told me that. God Bless You All. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!! ALL THE WAY!!!

"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. BE STRONG!!! GOOD WILL COME DONT GIVE UPPPPPPP!!! I BELIVE IN YOU!!!
