    The NANOGENTOOLS Consortiums organized the NANOGENTOOLS Autumn EU School: Advanced Training in understanding the Safety of Nanomaterials which took place between 2nd and 3rd October, 2017 at Hotel Rice Palacio de los Blasones in Burgos, Spain.
    ▶ Acknowledgements: This event has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the projects H2020 - MSCA - RISE - 2015 - GA 691095
    ▶ The main objectives of the Autumn School was:
    (1) Awake the curiosity of young researchers in the related subject.
    (2) Create a creative, intergenerational forum to discuss the development of nanoscience and its implications on human and environmental health.
    (3) Highlight the advantages of MSCA RISE perspective, showing the main hits gathered in the frame of the project thanks to the potential of interinstitutional cooperation.
    (4) Discuss the need of regulation and safety for the 21st Century generation of Nanotechbased products and materials.
    (5)Train the next generations in advanced techniques for nanosafety assessment, guiding them into the key concept of “Safe by Design".
