I was wondering why this game seemed so familiar for a bit but then I remembered I actually auditioned to voice a couple of the characters in this like a year and half ago! It's cool to see how the game finally came together based on all the info I saw in the documents back then.

The fact that the puppets just basically never shut up makes their mad ramblings so much more unsettling.

Sure, but I just love how many lines they put into them so that they don't immediately feel... well... "fake" isn't the right word, as they're puppets in a very stylized game. But if you hear lines loop even once, it already stops being interesting and it just comes across as shallow and "unbelievable" or something. - It's that it seems like they keep on making up new stuff that makes it feel "alive". - If they were actual robot-toys or something, then yes, they could've gotten away with a few looping lines, but these are puppets that have come alive. Kind of like Chucky, which has a person's soul in it and thus basically speaks like a human. But these puppets are like that except almost brainwashed and mindless or something. Who knows if there's some kind of LOOORE where human souls were absorbed into the puppets, perhaps their actors or whatever, and then they're trapped and have become this freaky mash-up of a human saying these puppet-show things from within the puppets. - I hope that's the lore, cause that's a pretty cool idea, not at all inspired by something else. - Good job, me! - Thanks, me!

There's something weird about this game and the insane puppets and dolls that make it actually way scarier than normal horror games.

Mark admitting that "listening to that insanity any longer would have an affect on" his brain resonated with me, because it was unsettling. The voice acting + the video editing = trippy experience. Also, that conversation about making friends with people who will forgive you is a great PSA to others about toxic friendships!

I absolutely adore the Film Noir/Neo Noir take on the typical children's entertainment corruption of horror games (FNaF-esque premises). Noir is perfect; it's cynical, it's depressing, but its rather straightforward. The other games I've seen usually do some sort of long "this is innocent... but wait!" schtick which has kinda tired out for me. But noir gets straight to the point, the player is not meant to be naive or stupid or in-over-their-head. They're a hardboiled "see-some-shit" type and this confidence is fairly different from the recent indie children entertainment horror trend. This and Amanda the Adventurer (it's actually kinda harder to explain why I like this one since it seems somewhat generic for its sub-genre) are some of my favorites in terms of leaving just a different enough impact.

For those who didn't know, the voice actor for Ricky (the blue puppet in the pipe at the start of the game) is actually a fellow gaming YouTuber named Arlo, and he infamously uses a blue puppet instead of showing his face when recording footage of himself for his videos. One of the devs for this game must've been a fan because they asked him to come in and record some lines as a cameo. Considering that Mark has 33.1M subs and Arlo only has 624K subs, I'm assuming that he and most of his fanbase hasn't even heard of Arlo before, so I really hope this comment brings some more attention his way. He's a great and overall just really genuine guy, and he deserves much more attention than what he gets. As a big fan of both Mark and Arlo, I'm asking you all to please consider checking out his channel!

It's super interesting how it takes a lot of elements from resident evil but makes it its own. One of the main things I like is how when you get attacked you have multiple chances to get up and either run or fight it's not an immediate game over (with the stereotypical jump scare added to it). It makes it feel like it wants to scare you with the atmosphere and not just using cheap tricks.

The fact that you said this game had a "very Grim Fandango vibe to it" made me SO HAPPY!!! I know you immediately followed up by saying that you've never played it, but the fact that you know it even exists makes me smile!

I've never been more disappointed about a game being a demo, this is the most entertaining game I've seen i can't wait to see the full version

I’m Norman, I’m a really normal guy…” Edit: Nope, wait, the bug was just as severe lmao In case if you wanted to find it, John Szymanski posted on Twitter “Something terrifying happened to me during development today. Think this might need to go into the game somewhere.”

I really like the look of this one, not only is it a clear homage to Resident Evil, the rambling of the enemies and the weapon design give the game a bit of a Bioshock feel. I hope there's a version for consoles when the full game releases.

This game is fascinating. I love that it’s more of a surreal shooter rather than a horror game- with focus on unnerving atmosphere and survival rather than scary stuff like jumpscares and spooky noises. There’s a whole lot of noise too, which adds to that feeling.

I DO hope it goes in a direction where the enemies/characters gradually get more fucked up over time or some shit like that, I'm always in the mood for some sudden body horror abominations
