i remember being in middle school and requesting this song at a school dance because i was ~~**~quirky*~~*~ back then and always trying to get other people to listen to the kind of music I liked. They played the song towards the end and I was sitting on the bleachers because I didn't actually like dancing but when the song started everyone started slow dancing to it as I sat there watching and that memory is imprinted in my mind for some reason.

This song is one I always come back to. I listened to it when I bought the album and fell in love. The words then were poetic, but now, they hold weight. I grew from a preteen to a full blown adult. From 12 years old to now 26. I’ve gone through so much, lost so many, yet here this song stands and lives on with me, a constant reminder that everything, as grand as it may be, will one day, ultimately, come to an end.
