17/dec 2022 I made my tattoo "get better day by day". Mamamoo helped me go through some hardships a year ago. My grandmother passed away because of covid and my marriage ended a moth later... Few months in the dark and out of nowhere I found mamamoo and this specif phrase brought me light on my obscurest days. They held me without knowing who I am but i felt the love emanating from them. These 4 ladies saved me and im forever gratefull.

This song is like a sad song and happy song perfectly weaved together. It's like a song for mood swings, you're feeling sad then laugh when you remember something but then something flashes in your mind and you feel low again, and the cycle continues.

I finally heard this song live when they visited Philippines for their MYCON Tour. Needless to say I cried the entire time they sang this song. Wind flower will always be my healing song and the Mamamoo track that deserves better recognition. Even Hwasa mentioned it’s still her favorite since.

Windflower is not your usual breakup song. It talks about the pain of seperating from a person (whom you actually loved)due to certain circumstances. The song also talks about getting over the pain of breaking up gradually (hence the lyrics, "gets better day by day") in a very realistic way unlike other breakup songs that talks about how toxic the ex was and how much you hate them which is very generic. While toxic relationships exist and i am proud of those people who have walked out of such relationships, it is also a fact that sometimes we have to part ways from a loved one due to certain circumstances and i think Windflower perfectly expresses that feeling of pain beautifully. Windflower is very unique imo.

Yeah, its like when you love someone but the relationship doesn't work like in "Marriage story" you can still love him without needing to be together, he could have been the perfect man, but not the perfect man for me

The aesthetic, vibe and colors (and at least a few of the scenes) are inspired by some classic Hong Kong movies by director Wong Kar-wai. If you aren't familiar with his movies yet, maybe try Chungking Express (has more or less the same style and mood of this video), though I prefer the movie In the Mood for Love. It is interesting that a Korean pop band would go for this vibe.

Thanks Mamamoo for choosing Hong Kong as the shooting place of MV. While ppl in HK nowadays feel confused with their own place and think the colour of the city may start to fade, I see a chic, nostalgic and beautiful place in this mv. Every ordinary street, tram station, footbridge or rooftop seems so beautiful under the camera(that ppl living here may not notice in their everyday life), together with the 4 wonderful, stunning talented girls. I love Blackpink so much but let's be honest here, Mamamoo will kill them & the other girl groups with their vocals. They have that maturity in them. They aren't the traditional Kpop artists.
