He has been called the toughest athlete in the history of boxing. Mike Tyson, Iron Mike, The World's Most Dangerous Man is a martial arts legend. The most expensive heavyweight fighter, the strongest puncher, the best in many other ways. His record stands at 50 wins, 44 of them by knockout.

You pay top dollars, dress up, spend two hours reaching the stadium, Tyson comes and blows one uppercut and match finishes in 30 secs. Moreover, If you accidentally blink and miss the knockout blow then you keep punching yourself on the way out.

Golata received a lot of negative press for quitting the fight, but he had been severely injured. He had a broken cheekbone, and a herniated disc in his neck, along with the expected concussion. Took him three years to recover and box again. Tyson was just monstrously strong.

Everyone knows about his ability to strike. However, IMO I was most amazed at his ability to slip punches, which then set up the KO punches that would take his opponent out. I have never seen another fighter at any weight class that was his equal in bobbing, weaving and feinting, in the ring. He truly was a master of his craft.

One of the most misunderstood human beings of all time. I don't believe Mike was ever crazy. he just grew up extremely fast with many people trying to take advantage of him. The heavyweight championship as an 18 year old is a lot to take on. At that age I was just trying to figure out, how I could pass my math and science test so I could graduate high school. This man was trying to figure out how to spend millions at that age, and also being in the public eye. That can be very overwhelmed and a lot to bare. Love you Mike.

I noticed that Mike Tyson was always displayed gentlemanly sportsmanship towards his opponents not only through helping many back to their feet after being knocked senseless but he always embraced them afterwards.

I have the utmost respect for this man. To take the physical and mental beatings that he has, and still come out measly alive is a feat in itself. He's now tge perfect example of how to be in life. Accept your past demons, forgive yourself... and to basically not give a single f of what people think of you.

One of my childhood heroes, Mike was an inspiration to me during my teenage years. I love his humility even in victory. Whenever his rivals trashed talked him, he just allowed his fists and gloves to answer back. I love what he did to Larry Holmes and 'Bubba.'

So much power combined with so much speed, skill and accuracy...it's almost unfair for his opponents.

Watched him knock out Spinks in one of those PPVs back in the 80s. Amazing. He never lost a bout when he was seriously training for his opponent. He’s the best ever. No question.

"Every head must bow and every tongue must confess that he is the greatest of all time" - Mike said this in an interview when he was asked who would beat who if he fought Ali in his prime.

Tyson is one of the most accurate punchers I've ever seen, saw most of his early fights growing up. He didn't flail, like so many boxers today. Tactical, accurate, powerful fast punches. Amazing vision to see openings in the opponents defense and attack.

I was always impressed how Mike always went to his opponent and either helped him up off the floor , walked over to hug him or just check to make sure he was OK. Mike was a class act in the ring. A True Champion!

I'm so grateful I got to grow up in the era when Tyson was on top to watch him fight..it was like nothing else no other athlete brought that sort of intensity and excitement every single time they performed.
