2 years. Still hurts. Kobe made me proud to grow up in Los Angeles. The perfect representation of my hometown; the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, with the grit and grind behind the scenes. My childhood hero, adult role model, hometown icon, one of Los Angeles’ favorite sons. Mamba and Mambacita Forever.

He was crying instantly. Such a wonderful speech. I love that he met Kobe at 18 years old.

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Watching this still puts a lump in my throat... I still remember my Mom telling me he passed, I was both shocked and sad, both feelings doubled when I learned his daughter and another family passed as well. Hope his wife and kids are staying strong to this day. RIP Mamba and GG

Michael can even dominate at being compassionate towards upholding a lost legend, friend and fellow athlete. This one hit me in places I didn't know were there.

Seeing MJ emotional really puts into perspective how serious and competitive he was while playing, and why the emotional flood would always break after winning a championship. His teammates literally did not think he was capable of these emotions until they saw it with the trophy in his hands. They thought he was a sociopath, someone without empathy and whose only emotion expressed is anger and frustration, and it turns out he’s this big empathetic teddy bear the whole time. Love it.

This was an incredible speech. Michael and Kobe are both legends. Kobe continues to be missed everyday. Sending my continued prayers to his family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
