What a weird thing to happen at work - "Oh hey it's David Letterman can you throw some junk out of the window so we can broadcast it to millions of viewers? Thanks, appreciate it" - then just get back to work lol

I didn't like The Late Show with David Letterman back when it was on. Only now, all these years later do I see what a great thing it was. He had real gift of keeping up the excitement and interest of his audience back then. Sorry, but I don't see me changing my mind about the current crop of late night "talent". They're no good. Just sayin.

Just to be clear, there were two different late night talk shows Dave had hosted: Late Night on NBC (1982-93) and Late Show on CBS (1993-2015). This particular upload comes from his Late Night years.

This a great piece of work here Don. Hats off. These Letterman Shows broke the mould and the UK equivalents are dated and duff. Dave reigns supreme. I love digging into your vaults on youtube. If I want to cheer myself up in these terrible COVID times this is where i come for a smile and a tear. Thank you man for all of this huge work you have brought to millions internationally. Much love from Henry in London England

The old VHS tapes were probably digitized. And then the editing was done digitally. If the editing was done from VHS tapes without first digitizing them, Whew! Man that takes an awful lot of patience, and a whole lot of skill. Regards of how it was accomplished. Great job creating this video because it required a lot of research and a lot of work.

1:36:18 So bizarre to have such a random World Trade Center event somehow be made into a joke. One that didn't happen but he said he survived to tell about it. He said a boom and everything blacked out and plunged 90 stories. Years and years in the future the elevators would plunge 90 stories and blow open. And some people would live to tell about that day in 2001. I've seen so many strange events like this that happened years or decades before as if to foretell what was going to happen. It's beyond eerie. Like it was placed in their heads from some demonic force or premonition. 1:40:03 And on a skit where we are watching a lady wave from a window of a building she's inside. And she's trapped inside in a way since the windows no longer open.
